MEOW </3
drags himself into the lounge and straight to the coffee
There wonât be enough coffee for today, much less the week. Iâm certain itâs going to be soooo slow at work. But thatâll give me plenty of time to wrap presents, play WoW, read, etc.
Half my characters are level 80 - they donât all have the ilvl to raid, but theyâre max level. The Anniversary dungeon leveling is great.
Morning folks.
Very fast blood draw, finished shopping, now just got to wait a day for the whole song and dance.
Iâm hoping everyone has a fun, and safe, holidays!
I survived the family Christmas gathering. the former Mrs. Teuf baked a ham, daughter and DIL (not really, but for all intents and purposesâŚ) handled the side dishes of stuffing, au gratin potatoes, and green bean casserole. Games were played, presents unwrapped, fun was had by all. All the kids have to work today, so I offered to drive ex-Mrs. Teuf to the post office if needed to ship her holiday haul home ahead of her flight tommorow.
My manager waited till midnight Saturday night to ask me to cover a shift tonight, and refused to take the hint that I wasnât interested. Last thing he said as we got in our cars to go home was. âjust let me know by 5pm Sunday if you can work Monday nightâ. Was finally forced to be blunt, and tell him that I absolutely wonât be covering any shifts, and that Iâd see him Thursday.
Thus begins Day 2 of 4 days off. Iâm presently considering breakfast options, leaning towards an omelet, pancakes and bacon (non-fuzzy, and no, I will not share). There is almost certainly going to be an overpriced mocha involved, as well.
Then possibly a nap.
/grabs a cup of coffee, looks suspiciously at the cookies
I am still suffering cookie overload. I seriously think I overdid it on sweets for the first time since I was a child.
SUPER cold here last night and everything outside is frosty white and sparkly. No snow, but heavy frost. Quite pretty.
I have decided on making a lovely tender braised pot roast, carrots, onions, taters for my holiday meal. Will do that today I think so it is done. I have sweet potatoes, broccoli, and other goodies I can have with it and can make some fresh rosemary bread. That should be food for the week!
We have an ice storm headed this way tomorrow so things are going to be a bit dangerous. Thankfully I donât have to go out.
I could make some cottage pie for everyone
Even if donât have to go out, stay safe still.
Weâre getting a snow/sleet combo today, with up to three inches of snow here (more Up Northâ˘). Then it looks like itâs going to be warming up for the rest of the week, with rain over the weekend. Blech.
Love it. I donât make it often enough, but I do make it from time to time. Hmm⌠maybe for dinner sometime this week; we have some soup we need to get through before we can start thinking about making more food.
I now want this for dinner. I think the ingredients are even laying around in the kitchen, so win win.
Yes, yes you should do that. I think that sounds perfect. Then just somehow teleport some to me!
That reminds me I should charge all the devices and make sure I have batteries in things. Hmmm⌠Yeah. Just in case we lose power.

Lounge House front porch w/ festive trees
Main room with gnome coffee pool, fireplace, blankets, snacks, CS work desks.
Cozy Lounge room with beverage buffet and food buffet. Warm fire, stockings hung, comfy couches. Cocoa cups by the fire.
Coffee, tea, sweet snacks, sturdy mugs, cocoa, etc.
Hot soup, cottage/shepardâs pie, breakfast quiche, crusty warm bread
The upstairs library has a cozy fire, festive tree, and lots of bookshelves.
Back downstairs is the main tree by the front door with presents for everyone! Even the fox.
One of the cats has curled up in my lap and fallen asleep, so todayâs plans, such as they are, have been postponed indefinitely.
The wood is still there. Just rearranged a bit.
Seems like the ice storm is just starting here. Hopefully it doesnât go on too long. It is supposed to warm up a bit.
Stay safe!
I have my garrison Christmas all year around I hope we can do that too with WoW housing.
one of my fatherâs working buddies just showed up its good to know he has not been forgotten. i still get some who come up to me telling me storys of how he help them out and how grateful they are
I have no intention of going out. I have all the food in the fridge, and all the gifties are wrapped and under the tree ready for the big day. Iâm just chillin at home until the craziness settles down.
I do have to go out one day. We have tickets for Trans Siberian Orchestra on the 30th. They put on a really good show. We havenât seen them live since before covid.
