I have managed to do a few things! One involved outside even.
I have folded the laundry that I did yesterday. Wanted it done before the dryer vent steam would freeze. I also shoveled our little bit of snow off the walks so I meet my legal requirements for our town. The sun will now melt any ice/sleet I canāt shovel then the wind will dry it before it gets OMG cold tonight.
I am celebrating my productiveness with hot tea.
Need to think of things to cook but I canāt top Auryssa with all that fantastic sounding curry and such!
I have a list of things in the fridge I want to use though so we shall see. I also need to freeze some of the bulk things I got on sale. Might be doing a nice pot roast and some crusty fresh bread. I have mushrooms and they are always fantastic with beef. Will have to dig that out of the freezer and thaw it.

You could always make a beef burgundy - meat, onions, mushrooms, red wine, lots of garlic - serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes. Leftovers freeze really well, or can for long term.

I know I know. I WANT to make that badly. I donāt keep wine around anymore and am not going to get it. For reasons. However, that is likely what I will be making - or something similar. Minus the wine. Maybe a dash of balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar.

Either balsamic or red wine vinegar would be an excellent sub. Even if you left it out completely, and just used broth ā¦ meat cooked for a long time with veggies and LOTS of garlic is gonna be delish!

Dad used to tell stories about when he was stationed in Pensacola (late 40s, early 50s?). It got super cold once, and the coolant water froze in everyoneās car except his; he grew up in more northern areas, so he knew to add antifreeze to his.
I managed to stay awake through my five hours of work. Had one call, that was for a different help desk thatās closed today, and an email that had been waiting since early Sunday morning. I spent more time chatting with my replacement than I did doing anything remotely related to work.
So now, time for some WOW. I got four characters through Raid Finder yesterday, and Iām going to try to get a handful more through today.

I was doing quests out by the fallen Dalaran. I found a dog bowl that gave me my faithful dog pet. I will miss waving at the gnome in the fish tank at the pet place.
Itās cold and windy here. Brrrr. I love my new furnace. This is the first year I have not had to pull out a heated throw to keep me warm over in the corner where my computer desk is.
Poor Lions.

I mean, I probably wonāt get around to all of them. 
Finally got my lazy self out of bed and fixed the chuck roast I got on sale the other day. Cut out as much fat as I could, tried to sear it on the stove, but I think I didnāt let the pan get hot enough as it let out a lot of moisture and started braising instead, so I added beef broth and threw the whole thing in the oven. Searing is tasty but not essential. Kitchen was a disaster area before I started, worse after, so cleaning it up now so I can fix veggies to go in with the beef later and also get chicken started marinating to cook tomorrow. And figure out what container I own thatās big enough to soak a pound of beans and small enough to fit in the fridge. This is one of the reasons I usually donāt bother soaking them first.

Still super cold here. Weāll have wind chills in the negative through tomorrow. Now, I like cold weather. But man oh man, when that wind picks up, it sucks the life right out of you.
And yeah - poor Lions. And poor Detroit. This could have been something to cheer about for Detroit (and Michigan) sports.
I didnāt realize the deserter debuff was on LFR, too. I had to leave after the second boss. On the plus side, I was gone for almost half an hour. Now, I just need to wait another half hour (or more) for the queue.

Turns out, I canāt, if I want to cook several things I was planning, because it turns out I have no onions that havenāt gone bad. So my pot roast (I guess thatās what it is) has only carrots and potato, no onion. Which will be fine, but Iām not making beans or chili or aloo gobi without decent onions. Also, the trash will have to go out soon since it now contains spoiling onions that have been cut open.
Itās snowing today, which wouldnāt bother me except that now I canāt see where the remaining ice patches are on the parking lot.

So cold outside here right now where I live. Supposed to drop to -9Ā°C (16Ā°F) here overnight with a chance of snow as well.
Luckily supposed to warm up again here by the weekend. Noticed majority of Canada is currently under Extreme Cold Warnings at this time. Not British Columbia however.
I do wish we would get snow here as got we none on the ground at all here. Even the nearby mountains donāt got much.
Expecting at this time that our forest fire season will be a bad one again. We already had a small fire about 15 minutes up the road ignite last week where the trees were candling. At least they got it out quick before it could spread.

Oh no! That is the worst feeling ever. I have some backup freezer onions I chopped for when I really canāt even. Not as good as fresh but fine for anything long cooked. I grabbed a new bag the other day. You inspired me to take some beef out of the freezer to do a pot roast or stew!
I also had to go out, shovel, and take out the trash. Taking out meat meant checking the fridge/freezer which meant cleaning it which meant trash had to go out! I had fresh chicken I needed to freeze and chicken packaging is going to smell so out it went.
The half of my kitchen that I close off with a comforter/curtains is down to 42 F. That is IN MY HOUSE. It was an addition to the back of the kitchen that has no insulation and has 3 windows + the door. So basically all windows/doors. Works great in summer as a sun room but in winter it is cold! I ordered actual proper heavy dividers for it instead of having to use makeshift curtains and such but they donāt get here til the end of the month. Blah.
Feeling really irritated right now for whatever reasons. I know when I feel like this it is my brain being stupid and I have to be really careful posting.
/Puts more wood on the Lounge fire and tosses blankets at everyone. Refills the coffee vats, puts out fresh hot water, cocoa, and fixings
