/Wakes up to a clean lounge with fresh beverages and tasty tasty snacks. Decides deviled eggs ARE breakfast food. Potatoes are also a breakfast food. Yep. Adds in some juice just to get some vitamins.
Thank you!

Wanders into the lounge with a crockpot full of chili. Now where do I plug this thing in? Puts outs some garlic bread and corn bread for later.
I would suggest the food buffet/server counter over by the gaming table.
There is one that is primary beverages, and one that is food/snacks.
There is also a whole kitchen you can use until ready to serve.
Just bring this over so I don’t derail
Oh, it would be this scribbly key thingy next to the 1 below the escape. (I forgot what it is actually called.)
Basically, saying you want to say, sorry, I’ve made an error, to do it, you’d would put it like this:
~~sorry, I've made an error~~
Of course I was the one who derailed over there, then came here to see posts.
Beyond that - hope everyone is having a good morning and is staying warm!
I mean, technically speaking, everything can be classed as breakfast food, as long as it is food.
Yes, yes it can. We had a little tradition at the office back when I worked. I don’t really do sweets much, but do love fruit pies once in a while. I can’t eat more than a little so I would bring the leftovers to work and we would have pie and coffee! Usually just my boss/mentor and me. I miss that, honestly. Not the work part, but the coffee and good conversations part.
Mainly posting this for the folks who knows about cars and want to see a funny jab from the Thief Sim. 2.
Oww. Forgot to take baby aspirin (part of my med suite, proper aspirin isn’t really healthy to livers) and now I’m proper sore. Wasn’t that bad when I woke up but now it caught up with me.
Almost done with work for today so I’ll be able to lay down after for a bit, and don’t know if missing that last night is a factor but haven’t been this sore in a good while.
Hope it gets better, try to take it easy once ya done.
Just getting up, getting ready for work, driving, walking around all day doing normal work stuff, sitting for long periods - is tiring! Recovery from such a major illness and surgery is going to take time. Being sore is normal. Rest is exactly the right answer of course
So glad to hear work was welcoming and that you are enjoying it. Feeling useful is a huge boost. It is the largest part of why I post on the forums, and participate in the MVP program. It gives me a way to help people despite the limits I have. I like the problem solving!
It’s been a huge help. It’s nice to be with folks and you all are working towards a goal, and being part of of it feels great. And yeah, that may be part of it too. Certainly up and about a lot more than I was!
Helping people is nice! I know I can be on the blunt side but it’s been why I got into IT in the first place. Folks have a problem, maybe I can make it better or failing that point them the right way to someone who can. Know you and a lot of folks are really helpful, even outside of CS and I’m sure a lot of folks appreciate it!
The hardest part is trying to remember that I can’t fix everything and not to take it personally when people lash out. Some things are just plain out of my control or knowledge space. Also that mistakes are normal, the only time someone is a “failure” is when someone refuses to accept or learn from them.
I just read that the FDA just banned red dye#3. Now if they ban yellow#5 my life would be sooooo much easier.
Always nice when the apeal system works.
That thread was a riot. It’s good that the posters were unsuspended, as I’m sure it must have been agonizing to have been wrongly prevented from playing and waiting on the appeal.
Nooooooooo. Wherever will I replenish my supply of rupees?!
I have to use an odd hybrid setup. DS2 controller in my left hand and clicking my abilities with the mouse. Problem is WoW’s built in controller support doesn’t allow for simultaneous use of the controller and KB/M, so I need external controller software. I was able to do this on macOS because USB Overdrive has no macro capability and doesn’t trigger Warden. But on the Windows side I need to use JoyToKey, which if I understand correctly does have at least rudimentary macro capability, so I haven’t been able to play WoW because without confirmation JTK is ok, I’d be risking a twenty year old account. It sucks because I’ve missed out on two expansions now.
It’s ironic that I had more accessibility options in macOS than I do in Windows
Huh, weird, I’m able to use keyboard and/or mouse alongside the controller. I did realize it kinda messes with bindings but after rebinding them it seemed to work.
That’s interesting to note with macOS though! I had no idea. I usually get on macs since they are very, very restrictive on what a user can actually do, but that’s neat that it has more accessibility options.
Whenever using the controller it switches to that input exclusively. You can’t click while using the controller. Trust me, I’ve tried. Sucks too because all I’m using JoyToKey for is mapping the controller buttons (including D-Pad) to my in-game bindings and using the analog sticks in arrow key mode (this is how I had it set up in USB Overdrive).
I’ve got two CEs sitting here unused because of this situation.
Just got my six month subscription gifts - Timbered Skysnake (and Timbered Air Snakelet pet for Cata Classic).
Did a little tidying up of my closet today. Got rid of a bunch of stuff I didn’t really need to save any longer, and organized a bit so I don’t have to keep storing things on top of the dog crate. Eventually, I think I want to completely redo the closet - currently, it’s plywood shelves and an old pipe for a clothes hanger. I could definitely see a better, more organized storage setup in there.
