{CS Lounge} The Light and How to Swing It

Soon for me will be pine tree allergy season. When I sneeze that hard I pop veins in my eyes. No one gives a good stink like me when my eye whites are blood red. :japanese_ogre:

My wife called me SPECIFICALLY to ask if I picked up TP when I went shopping today. She heard that Walmart in a nearby town had empty shelves and wanted to make sure I bought some.

It is that kind of hysteria that is feeding directly into this mess. That said, yeah I bought some. Sam’s had a purchase limit of one per customer which I think is smart. They also had it end capped ALL over the store. I saw it in at least 5 different places with HUGE signs, and one person arguing with the manager on why he could not buy 6 cases while I was checking out. I just bought a case for normal restock last week, but now we have some more, just to be safe. Should hold us over for a bit.

Burgers and fries tonight. Debating on if I want to grill some mushrooms and onions or not to go with it.

Other than that I made a joke of how spoiled rotten she is, like a princess…and she jokingly said hmmm I like that…princess…so I have been calling her princess all day…I think she is regretting that statement now haha.

it was a reference to Beavis’ “alter ego”.

i had two sloppy joes…decided to forego the fries for tomorrow and opted for hotdogs instead.

My dad works at a Walmart. He told me all the toilet paper is gone and so is the bottled water, among other things. The rush started last night, apparently. I hope they have some when we go shopping next week because we will actually need it.

Well, everything is starting to close downtown.

The auto show has been canceled with a few days to go.

Hmm, what to do during this time? GAMING!

They’re rationing stuff here now. As well as implementing a “no refund” policy for change of mind.

One of my nephews has all the symptoms but is only mildly ill, he is otherwise healthy.
He’s been told to enter voluntary Quarantine. He can’t actually get tested for COVID-19 as he doesn’t meet the qualifications where he is.

In other news: Quiche for dinner tonight.
(this one cheddar, bacon, onions, broccoli)

I’m thinking of buying Divinity: Original Sin 2. Has anyone played this? Is it worth $50? It’s highly recommended to me by Steam based on my like of The Witcher series, Dragon Age: Origins and The Elder Scrolls games they offer.

I’m really wanting something new to play.

So in a grand total of 3 days off, I got about 6 hours to myself. I need to completely re evaluate what I do for other people I think haha, as it is coming at the expense of my relaxation. Oh well.

What a day! So my day started out with a dead computer. My main PC called it quits. I’m about 99% sure it was the motherboard too :frowning:

That said, it was pretty old seeing that I built it back in 2012! So with little time and little notice, I ended up picking up a pre-fab PC. Hopefully it’ll pull its weight for years to come!

Went to Walmart around 9:30am and I could not believe how busy it was and how quickly the shelves were emptying! Hopefully the hysteria dies down over the next couple of weeks with schools closed and everyone being urged to exercise social distancing.

:grumble: There are times this new forum style just gets on my nerves, and I want pages back. (Some update had logged me out of the forums at home. To log back in, when I’m at the bottom of a topic like this, I have to get all the way to the top to get My Account to show. Drag scroll-bar up, see it for a second, then the page tries to load a bunch of what I scrolled past and [(word meaning moves up and down quickly) - disallowed because apparently the first four letters are bad] and winds up somewhere in the middle.)

I had to stop for milk on the way home. It’s crazy some of the shelves that are near or completely bare. No shopping carts. Lines for each register going halfway down most aisles.

You wouldn’t think “stay away from other people” was a thing, seeing how many people cram themselves into a store in close proximity.

think the walmart in my area was crazy busy as well. people stockpiling to hunker down and wait this out maybe?

“social distancing” isn’t too difficult for me…let alone any typical WoW player (don’t make me go outside, there’s PEOPLE out there! *flails) oh, and i DID go to bed around 8 this evening…and woke up 2 hours later. /faceplant

but on the upside, i found a guild on Westfall for my Night Elf Hunter to call “home” persay, so…we’ll see how this goes. and someone mentioned reese peanut butter cup blizzards, and now i’m craving one. .-.

Someone I know posted some pics of the Walmart shelves tonight and most of them were completely bare! Like the bread/etc. shelves, totally bare!!

When I went to Costco today, I got out of my car, realized there was a lineup from the outer-doors to just about the tire/service stalls, and said ‘NOPE!’ I didn’t need frozen fruit that badly!

What a day.

maybe instead of making a coffeh tomorrow (and seeing as how i’m almost out of whitener and i don’t REALLY want to venture out just yet) i’ll try my cotton candy tea tomorrow morning instead.

The season for D3 started about 4 hours ago. I saw notes in the chat Bax the last hour for people completing the end game challenges of the season journey.
I’m so glad I have all the chat channels turned off. Way too many salty people in the Diablo community who will scream for bans.

Another weekend of work. Go team?

*in a whisper
Can I interest you in some TP. I have Charmin and seven store brands, even some single-ply I found in a public washroom. How many do you need. Or maybe some bread. I have white, whole wheat, rye. Commercial brands, home-made. How about some KD?

If we aren’t meeting in an alley and you don’t have rolls of toilet paper under a trench coat, we can’t do business. Those are my terms. Takes 'em or leaves 'em.
