Good news! Shadow the cat came back! A little worse for wear. He’s walking with a limp, but can put weight on it. He won’t let me near him to check the wound. He’s more interested in making woopie with Ms Sassy (A female cat that adopted me). He definitely got more energy and not as lethargic, gonna let him get “cat” on and see if I can get him to come inside later.

Gotta somehow wrangle him to a cat carrier so I can take him to a vet.

LOL, the Armory actually isn’t hidden - but setting the forum profile so people don’t see all the extraneous information above and beyond post history blocks that link for whatever reason:

Heads up
New promotion for the game is starting to be emailed out for old accounts w/o the expansion. For the weekend of the 21.
I just watched a video pointing it out.

Did you find the Porg or do I have to send Alvie there to help?

I thought I told you? Found him… and then Bug stole him.

Excellent

Good morning all

Thanks Perl… I pulled that trigger and created a couple of new (old) toons on my old server. I can’t help but to laugh at some changes and somethings I didn’t expect.

I started an undead monk. Why not. I’m reading the quests rather briefly as they didn’t change too much over the years. Then, probably the most nubish thing I’ve done in a while. During the starting quest-lines, Darnell comes out to help me. “Who is this Darnell?” I’m thinking (as I didn’t read the quest very well). So I said hello. Asked if I could help him. Started to walk and Darnell followed me. Now, here I am, years later and still paranoid by players in this game. I stopped and told him to stop harassing me. I turned to move and Darnell moved. I moved randomly and Darnell kept pace.

“These bots have either gotten really good or this person wants to disrupt my play for some reason,” or so I thought. Being the better player (lol), I took the advice that is handed out freely on these forums. I logged out of that toon and started a human paladin, played a while. Starting quests didn’t change too much and stayed to complete the starting area.

I still wanted to play the undead monk. I signed back on with the monk and low and behold, Darnell is waiting for me. I figured this person must be really really bored to mess with me. Anyway, I ignored Darnell and went about my way collecting X of Y and turned it in. Darnell disappeared. Great!

I did another quest or two and didn’t see Darnell anywhere. I did see mobs running around outside of their designated patterns. Curiosity got the best of me so I followed one. Hmm, no name plate. Looking further at the toon (putting my cursor over the character), a name-realm popped up.

Strange, Darnell had blue text above him, I recalled. Wait… what? Yes, Darnell was an NPC that was helping me on the quest.

/facepalm (no  for Aik)

Well, that was my first outing since I maxed out characters at level 90, years ago.

Hope you enjoyed my return journey into WoW. I chuckle at myself too often.

Perhaps I’ll try again. Any recommendations on server gang? (Hey old man, where you at? :grinning: )

Edit: clarification and punctuation

Man thanks for that. I am running on about 2 hours of sleep and that just gave me a solid belly laugh.

Not a problem Mast. I aim to please.

Well, I’m going to put off writing my lesson plan for a bit. Let’s see how this monk will do. Will she be paranoid? Will she fall apart? I’m going with running out of bag space. Who knows. LoL

Old school CSF is on Terokkar but I don’t know how active that is.

Thanks.

Looks like I had a toon there at one point.

Aik shall be reborn as a monk

I love playing my monk so much, I sorta feel badly for my other characters who used to be my mains!

Leveling up, I spent a decent amount of time in dungeons as healer. Some levels were much more difficult than others as your mana consumption varies while leveling. But it sorts itself out around level 70. But until then, I carried a lot of mana-water on me!

How hard is it to turn in a quest to Field Marshal Afrasiabi? Impossible in Normal-mode. He’s there if you come in through the gates. Then he disappears before you can turn in the quest. I had to enable Warmode to have him stay so I could do the quest. An odd work-around. He hangs out in Warmode and is AWOL in normal. Yes, I filed a bug report. I am an annoyed BunnyGnome.
