[CS Lounge] Summer time sunny days

The SFA’s allow one off-topic thread within CS.

How ever, this thread does not deter away from people getting help where they need it within the Customer Support forums. In fact, all the CS Regulars help others more before to get the players help that they can offer usually more than posting in this thread alone.

Ok then, then I can bump it up for you in a few hours or so.

Certain time I think they are clocked in by like, 10 am my time.

I know, I saw the blue post. My question was directed at the CS moderators as to why. Like I said, there’s better forum channels for off topic discussions.

That’s good to know, and I’m glad you can help them. You should post in their thread and not here though.

At any rate, I’m going to dip out of this thread now and let you guys get back to your Summer time sunny days.

I appreciate the gesture, but that’s ok. There’s other support tickets just as important as mine, so I’ll let them get to it as they go through them.

Thanks anyways!

Just, so you know. Topics on the forums are not the same as support tickets. There are no GMs on the Customer Support forums. The blues that frequent this particular forum are not GMs

Many of the people here have been helping out on this forum for years. Blizzard gave them this topic so they can chat amongst themselves without derailing other topics here.

Support Forums Agents and fellow players. In general this forum exist as a information desk for fellow players to help guide each other into the correct direction for problems they may be experiencing.

This specific topic is meant for people to just relax and chat with each other about various subjects not related to helping fellow players. Which is highly frowned on in a post of someone experiencing a difficult and stressful situation.

I would imagine that people would be quite upset when they had their entire Bnet account banned and the regulars were discussing recipe ideas in their thread.

Yeah, sure thing. Thank you, and good night.

Good [time of day] all!

puts on several vats of coffee, gets the kettle going for tea, sets out assorted syrups/cream/milk/non-dairy options, sets out a nice tray of fruit and fresh baked breads

The vat on the left is for gnome swimming. I do not suggest drinking that one.

Yesterday was both super stressful and fantastic! I got to see one of my best friends who I had not seen in around 7 years. He finally retired so has free time and we got to visit all day. We also had a primary goal of fixing my 19 year old car again…because it was throwing engine codes related to the emissions system. It was due for inspection so was critical to sort out if it really had an issue or if it was a sensor being nonsensical.

Lovely coffee on the deck, tour of all the stuff I have been fixing in my old house, catching up on years of family and stuff. Car had 3 codes that did not seem related. Pulled the emissions purge valve again that I replaced last Oct. Checked it and it was fine despite the code. Applied current and the solenoid opened and closed correctly and air was passing through like it was supposed to. (sort of like car valve CPR and defibrilation!).

Found nothing else at all that might cause a code. All hoses, lines, connections in good condition. Put the valve back in and took it for a test drive. No codes. Did several of and on cycles. No codes.

Said what the heck and took it to the testing station where it passed - so that means it did run a full test cycle or two after we cleared the codes or it would not have passed. The testing requires that the computer have full vehicle test cycle data on it.

WIN! I am good for 2 more years.

Had some huge deli subs and just chatted which was fun.

Verdict - drive the darn car more. I so rarely go anywhere.

About to actually make my little coffee vat here, feed the kitties, etc.

I’m sooo glad they stopped those car check-ups here. It was such a pain to do.

You mean those check ups that make sure the car is still right and safe to be driven on the roads? Or is this a different type of checkup?

Around here it was just to see if the car was stinky. Too much pollution or something like that.

The State I live in doesn’t have emissions tests nor does it have a vehicle inspection. Sort of scary when you really think of it.

Ampedup,

The CS forum is an Information Desk to help players learn to navigate the actual Support ticket system, knowledge base, explain policies, explain services.

If someone does not know how or where to put in a ticket, what category to use, don’t know if their issue is one Blizzard can help with - this is the place to get guidance! If they don’t understand the policies - someone here can explain current policy.

If they need actual GM assistance they will have to wait on their ticket, which is hopefully in the right topic queue.

You have read the Blue post at the top about why the CS Lounge (and the Lounges on other forums) exist. Derailing the off-topic thread to talk about moderation, ticket issues, etc - is a violation of the thread rules.

If you wish to get information about using the ticket system, policies etc - please make your own thread. If you wish to make a suggestion that Blizzard do something different - you can use the in-game support tool or post a thread on the related Discussion forum (raids, dungeons, PvP, etc.).

Derailing and picking fights with the regulars here is the definition of trolling and is not a wise thing to do.

Have a cup of coffee, relax, and wait on your ticket to be answered by a GM - assuming you have a ticket in.

It is an Emissions system checkup. They want to ensure that people are not spewing massive pollutants. Basically they hook up a cable to your code reader connection and make sure your car computer says your emissions system is ok. That is all they do. We are required to do it every 2 years. I think some vehicle types can get exceptions like farm vehicles.

Our safety inspection is done only once in my state - when you buy the car/move the car to the state. You have to get it done before you can register the car for use on the road.

Oh, we don’t have that here.

Even in work places, which this forum is not, they have a break room. The explanation of why this thread exists is in the first post in blue. The existence of an off topic thread does not detract from the function of this forum as an Information Desk. Threads asking for information get answered. As you were also told, there are no GMs on the forums. This thread, and this whole forum, has nothing to do with the ticket queue.

It serves an important role in providing an off topic place to take a break, chat about non CS related things, etc. In fact, talking about moderation or CS issues here in this thread is not allowed.

If you would like to have a beverage and take a break here, you are welcome to do so. If you find the break room unpleasant, it is best to leave the break room.
