Hm, I didn’t see that happen when I hauled it out after purchasing it last night.
Will have to try again tonight, maybe it’s because I was summoning a different mount at the time of dismount.

I was wondering where those came from.
Here’s an example of a spanner rated for naval use:

Ok, this was fully weird. First of all, I know Blizzard would never call someone for account related issues, and secondly, going to submit to the hacks team once my computer decides to read my phone, since I’ve recorded this phone call.
But yes, had a scam phone call, of a male, probably of one of the Southern Asian Countries, possibly India or Sir Lanka, somewhere in that region, claiming they were Vrakthris.
Someone tried to impersonate as the friendly loving Centaur via phone.
Thats a new one for sure im more worried that they had your number.
DW is right. Check the security of all your things and I would even go as far as to changing all your passwords and 2FA everything you can.
If you have the # still send it to the hacks emiail and explain what happened.
Yeah, it is quite concerning, but it is possible of calling random numbers too. Still, going to double check everything and do a change of password just to be safe. I’ve got an authenticator attached to my account, so I am good on that part.
That is the problem, it came up as a private number. I’ve sent an email to hacks anyways, and attached a recording of the phone call. I dunno if they can do much, but at least they would be made aware.
Been a cruddy day, went to the VA ER this morning for an wound on my foot and upper respiratory infection. Got home at noon after picking up my meds. About an hour later I get a call from the VA Podiatrist to schedule treatments for my wound.
This way better treatment I got from the local hospital.
Hope you start feeling better soon.
I hope so too, got some good painkillers, those knock me right out. I ended up sleeping all day.
Jus go to ur nearest butcher have them aputate ur foot below the knee get a peg leg then u can be wreckingbull the peg leg paladin,
/drops out coffee, tea and cool drinks.
I think the SFA’s will need a payrise after tonight on the forums.
This is honestly mind blowing!!! How would anyone get enough information about you to know you are a CS forum reg, know who Vrak is, and get your number?
I can confirm, Vrak does not call you. Nobody at Blizzard does without permission. I have voice chatted with Blizz folks plenty, but calling is not how it is done.
Glad you sent it to Hacks. If there is scam going around using a Blizzard staff member screen name that is super important that Blizz be aware. I know they do that with scam calls impersonating local law enforcement but had never heard of it for video games!
Well, anyone can view the forums, and can see Vrak as one of the Blizzard employees, with “BLIZZARD” in the backgroup to their post, but they didn’t addressed me as Ayukama. In fact, they didn’t address me by my BattleTag either and I’ve posted that all over the forums, so I guess they didn’t know who I was, well, apart from they would now since I posted it to CS.
Oh, you’d be surprise. I’m just smart enough to know what is a scam phone call, considering I’ve been on the forums long enough, plus, enjoy watching ScammersPayback on YouTube.
I have to admit, that is the most bizarre thing I have ever heard about me. Someone is trying to impersonate me?
Technically speaking, we may try to reach out to you if you were contacting us and it was needed to help resolve an issue. It’s fairly rare now, but it could happen. It wouldn’t be out of the blue and it likely wouldn’t be me. While I am certain we would have a lovely chat, I think that would be a touch out of the scope of the support I can provide here.
If this is a new type of scam I hope others are as wary. I would hate to see folks getting their account was compromised after getting a call from “Vrakthris”. >.<
I’m just glad I’ve learnt a lot more tricks being here on CS, especially hanging around some of the more helpful members of the community who do know a lot. Oh, speaking of which,
I actually never even knew this. I had SMS from Blizzard, but that is just like a text with a code when logging on a new device before I even thought of adding the authenticator,
Oh speaking of which, and sorry for the double post, for some reason, the edit button is giving me a 500 internal error, I think I need to refresh my web browser, I was going to change my password earlier, but the scammer didn’t really get any of my details, would you think it be safer for me to change my password just to be safe, or think I should be fine for now?
Blizzard did have a call back CS option for a while. If it was an issue that needed live assistance Live Chat, or phone callback were offered if available. You had to put in a ticket, give them your number, and tell them to call you about that issue. So getting the call would not be unexpected!
I don’t think they have done those since at least the Pandemic. So it is not a service option currently offered.
I can promise Vrak has never called me.
It wouldn’t hurt to change your password, but it doesn’t sound like they have any other information and you have an Authenticator with SMS so you look pretty secure.
