Would it be possible for peeps to use >hide details when it comes to potentially triggering rl things? One of the regs in here is actually going through early stage dementia and it’s quite distressing to them to come in here to be reminded of RL instead of being able to hang out as usual.

You know it was unusually cool last week for a few days here when it got down to the mid 50’s and even now it’s only getting up into the mid to high 80’s and a couple days over the next ten it shows a degree or two over 90 which is unusual for us down south here.

Sorry your cookout didn’t go as planned Misbecky, Hope you get to enjoy the outdoor grilling season soon.

I work in a nursing home. I love my job. I love my boss. I don’t feel the same way about administration or the corporation, however.

My boss puts about 3x the work on me, because she know it will get done before I leave. She knows it will get done right before I leave. And it makes things easier for them during the week.

Problem is, they should be making their own lives easier during the week, and not putting a considerable chunk on me. Oh well. I am home and relaxing.

Dodged the bullet today.

Had a cookout today, we had the Brisket I smoked (5 hours), Grilled sausages, Bacon wrapped corn on the cob, potato salad, and my “Texas Two-Step” Jalapeno poppers. It was nice and sunny with a little clouds, after it was all and done. I headed in to my apartment and laid down, woke up to Thunderstorm rolling in around 5, and it’s still raining as of 10 o clock.

I am going to Disneyland for the VIP Star Wars Galaxies Edge Experience, and I am very excited but also a bit nervous. As a member of the 501st Legion, it does not get much better than this.

Along side the red lightsaber kyber crystals, there are super rare black kyber crystals. I recommend looking up what they are and what they mean. There is a trick to finding them though. If you shine a light through the container for the kyber crystals, they will show either a red kyber crystal or a black kyber crystal.

id go for red always loved the sith cooler powers plus u have to steal the crystal from a jedi and break the crystal to your will.

I had a hunch that you worked in a nursing facility, A very challenging job.

Last October my Mother had to go to a rehabilitation facility but while she was there the nurses kept complaining that they couldn’t get her blood sugar down. After a week of this I happened to be there when they were serving her lunch and noticed that her drink list said “Sweet Tea” and so I tasted it and it was some of that good old two cups per gallon southern style sweet tea.

I went immediately to the dietician’s office and there sat a young lady in her early 20’s and so I explained to her that my mother had been on a regular diet and not a diabetic diet for about a week, The young lady was so upset because of her mistake but I asked her how many beds they had and she said 98 and my response to her was that she had them coming in for a week or two and then be released and constantly changing patients and she responded “Yes” and I said are you the only one handling this job and she responded “Yes” and I said to her you really have too much for one person to handle and so I held a meeting with the directors and explained why my Mother’s sugar level couldn’t be controlled and that it was their mistake for putting too much on one person, They all agreed and said they would get her some help.

It just blew my mind that no one thought to check my Mother’s food that was being served to her and find the problem on their own.

I see this in many nursing and rehab facilities where they try to scrape by with the bare minimum of help and what gets me is they’re getting paid good money for each patient.

I really understand why you are so frustrated Mastadôn because every facility that I have been too were understaffed and also some of the staff was useless and would just sit around and talk while patients were trying to get help but were being ignored.

You know something else that was funny; I never received a bill from that facility for her stay during that period.
