[CS LOUNGE] Shadowstepping into the Shadowlands

Heheh, got pulled over by the PD tonight for having an improperly mounted License Plate. Got a warning and told I need to fix it. My nephew was freaking out as he never experience being pulled over by the police.

ones as big as an adult human hand, (and some even larger), and even ones as big as houses.

thatā€™s some ultra industrial strength miracle growth aussies got going on there.

Part of me wants to move there; another grand adventure. But that place actively tries to kill you.

Youā€™re thinking of New Zealand. They, like the UP of Michigan, get left off maps all the time.

Google it since i havent regained my lvl 3 i cant post links.

I love my monkā€™s tmog.

The grasping tonight has got to be some of the furthest I have ever seen on these forums. :joy:

Mumbles to self must restrain from verbal rebutal must refrain from rebuttal must exercise caution when flagging. lol.

In neater news, weā€™ve been doing a lot of experimenting lately with spices at home! Fried up some potatoes with garlic, onion, rosemary, thyme, and paprikaā€¦ those were some of the best potatoes Iā€™ve ever had in my life. Also made some chili from scratch today, which was pretty fantastic.

Plus we have leftovers for tomorrow . Itā€™s not a true CS Lounge without food talk.

I see a post i made was deleted which is fine i just hope it wont result in a black mark.

Thatā€™s always a good combination. I would just add a tiny pinch of salt and a little black pepper. My dad goes nuts when I do potato wedges like that.

yesterday for dinner, Dad wanted Whataburger, so my Brother in law and his two boys came over for burgers. Basically a boyā€™s night to hanging out. His wife and daughter was out at the movies with friends.

For potato wedges, I always like to add a dash of cayenne too.

Speaking of seasoned potatoes. Sometimes Iā€™ll cut up some into wedges, and on a baking sheet, put some olive oil on the them to coat, then season with a little curry powder, turmeric, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper and maybe a sprinkling of red pepper. Toss them and bake at 400 degrees til golden brown.

Personally I like doing that too, but my dadā€™s not a big fan of pepper heat.

Gonna step away from historical wargaming for the time being as I donā€™t wanna burn out. Gonna bust out my copy of SJG: Frag! and try to learn it. Been sitting on my shelf for 10 years now.

And yesterday we had a 3.4 earthquake centered under the Detroit river. Can 2020 get any weirder?

Way too far away from the salt mine, so that wouldnā€™t be the cause. But ridiculously close to Fermi. Fortunately, it sounds like thereā€™s no issue there.

There was a 4.2 on the west side of the state a few years ago. Sounded like a train rumbling through, which is what I thought it was when I heard it. I didnā€™t feel anything though, even though people said they felt it in Grand Rapids, and even in Detroit, though I always wonder about whether they really did or not.

Edit: Sounds like the cause was the Tigers hitting a Grand Slam. And Yay! They beat Cleveland!

Well. In about 20 minutes or so I will be done with the lunch meal. I may have worked a little TOO efficiently after an unheard of 2 days off in a row.

Better quit that kind of thing. People will expect it all the time.

I spent a summer working in a summer camp kitchen once. Weā€™d always take a couple hour break after lunch was done, and dinner would still be done with no hurry. Boy, that was an awesome summer. Four full days in the kitchen, two or three in the backcountry hiking and camping.

please donā€™t ask that. fate may take that as an open challenge. .-.

also, gonna take my time with VII and just enjoy it at my own paceā€¦that and i donā€™t want to get burnt out too quickly. especially where its not the full blown game, and i donā€™t exactly know how itā€™s gonna go from here on out either.

The actual shaking can ā€œskipā€ areas nearer to the epicenter while being more intense farther away, depending on the underlying geology.
