New PC is built. Because Iām too lazy (and too tired) to open the case to temporarily connect the old HDD to transfer the various clients over to the SSD, Iāve just begun the download of Retail. Just to see how long it takes.
Edit - As I hit the Submit button, I was alerted itās already in a playable state.

Well, that was unexpected, but welcome. A friend of mine in Austin convinced me that I need a mental health weekend and he wants me to come there and hang out. Plan to eat BBQ, shoot some guns and play some wargames, his treat. Just gotta work it into my schedule.

I went outside to feed Sassy the cat, and it was like COLD out there. The temp was like 56 degrees, it was about 85 yesterday afternoon.

Just got back from Bill & Ted Face the Music.
It was pretty good. I think what shifted it up to brilliant for me is the fact I watched the first 2 films and skimmed over the wikis for the cartoon series (yes there was 2 cartoon series about it). This made me grok the characters setting , word & plot much better and lent a greater appreciation of the franchise as a whole.
Boo to it raining on the way home. I had forgotten my umbrella and I didnāt put a mask in my pocket before running out the door so I couldnāt take the bus home 
PS Yeah in NZ thereās a $300 fine for not riding the bus with a mask affixed in the proper manner.

Apparently, Mother Nature had it out for my vacation. First, the snowstorm on Monday night. I ended up having to divert, adding about six (stressful) hours to my route, since it was mixed precipitation through the mountain passes in Colorado. But so beautiful! Found a place to stay overnight on the Utah/Nevada border, so I could double check my route.
Andā¦ Oregon is on fire. Without diverting clear down to San Francisco (even that was doubtful), I couldnāt see a way to get through to the coast. Since I was only planning on ācar camping,ā I didnāt have my pack, which means I couldnāt hike in anywhere. So, I turned around and had a leisurely drive home.
I did drive through an area that burned fairly recently in Colorado - it jumped the railroad tracks, river, and the interstate, in otherwise pretty inaccessible terrain. I would have loved to finish the trek, but it was still a pretty nice journey.
Sighā¦ someday, Iāll get out there.

The move is successful. Got most of my stuff moved over. My dad arrived for on North Cal to help and is heading back up now. Heās not spending the night with family.
Sad to see him go but oh well.
My parents decided to buy me a new bed. We couldnāt find the size in town so my mom ordered a whole new one online. Had to buy an aerobed for now.

The cell connection is weak in this area.

The new place is real nice but I canāt get a stable feeling for the place. Iām not sure if the place is feeling foreign or unwelcome.
