When I first started at Target, I worked 4am to 10am. I felt like I had the whole day to do stuff. People didn’t understand why I was tired about 7pm. Duh, I got up at 2am. They also thought I didn’t work hard because I was home early. “That’s not work, you’re home all day”. Yeah right.

When i worked 3rd shift people thought I was available because I was home.
“I didn’t think you’d be sleeping at 2pm”
“Why?”
“I figured you went to bed when you got home”
"Do you go to bed at 5 when you get home? "

Just the fact that I had zero issues changing shifts tells me it was right for me on other levels too. It’s better for me physically and mentally too.

I used to work 3pm to 1 am. People did not understand how 2 am was my 6pm to them and how i could sleep during the day. I can FULLY relate to this one.

Nope. When I was working it was 6pm-2am. I slept from around 7am till noonish. I used to do some raids with one of the major guilds on Bloodhoof at the time. Their raid coordinator would do an alt run around 5am local time. That’s how I got to do Gruul’s Lair and Magtheridon in TBC.

3rd was 9pm - 7am for me.
But I hate getting up hours before work, so I’d sleep to like 8. Which meant going to bed between 11 and 12. So 2pm I’m JUST sleeping good.

I’ve always been a night owl so when I started having 4am-1pm or 5-2 shifts people were surprised when at 8 pm I’m like “see ya, it’s bedtime.” I liked feeling like I had so much day left when I got home, even if I didn’t really since I had to go to bed earlier. Sadly, things got shuffled again and I’m having later shifts again. 12-9 pm for the next week and a half.

I feel lucky having a slightly earlier evening shift now, after having about three years of shifts ranging from 11:30am-10:30pm to 4pm-1am. My bed times are slowly getting earlier.

I got 7 hours of holiday pay last night. Will get one more tonight. Both nights are 12 hour shifts so OT on top of it.

Finally got my Classic character to appear! I’m having WAY more fun than I expected, too. Part of it is that we found guildies we used to play with through Classic and BC, but part of it is the game. It’s harder than I remember, but that’s the fun of it.

I broke a quest in classic. I’m on my water elemental quest, and I got to the point where you have to kill the water elemental for the bracers. I do that, BUT I had to leave to go do some stuff for my dad. I come back an hour later, and I burn the bracers.
Well…
The Manifestation of Water appears BUT I cannot talk to him as I need the sapta to see him, so I go back to get another one…nope, Brine no longer offers the sapta. I filed a ticket…I hoping for the best. Been making too many mistakes in Classic.
I have a box of Candied Gnomes that need to be passed around!
