Think I would much rather go and see Horseshoe Falls personally

And in a quick Google search to make sure my tomfoolery was on point, I learned horseshoe falls is a part of Niagra Falls as a whole, along with 2 other waterfalls haha.

I had always believed they were in essence the same thing. Niagra falls on the US side and Horseshoe falls on the Canadian side.
I thought the name difference was because of the border haha. Hmmmm

Our room tomorrow night is somewhere 30+ floors up and has a view of the Horseshoe falls along with the fireworks

Kids are going to be so surprised! We’re hoping to take them go-karting and on the giant Niagara SkyWheel too. Lots of excitement.

You can skip it using the Timeless Isle/Gorgrond portal (fire). You just can’t use the portal in Orgimmar/Stormwind if you do it that way. To open the portal you need to do the scenario. (At least it worked like that the last time I did it.)

I had always believed they were in essence the same thing. Niagra falls on the US side and Horseshoe falls on the Canadian side.

Niagara Falls … Sloowly I turned, step by step … .

This is nearly my neighborhood so I have to kibitz.

Welll … I prefer the American side. The American falls, bridal veil falls, and most of the horseshoe falls are on the American side of the border; and therefore, the best views of them are from the Canadian side.

But it depends on what you like, the American side is mostly a New York state park. Buy the Niagara Falls USA Discovery Pass for $50 or so to see it all on this side. Take the tram around Goat Island and see the rapids, Cave of the Winds attraction, Three Sister’s island, walk right down to the edge of the Bridal Veil fall and, at Terrapin Point, to the edge of the Horseshoe falls.

On the Canadian side you’ll see tones of tourist trap garbage wall to wall; but the best views of the falls are also on the Canadian side and, personally, I like the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and Butterfly Conservatory. The Maid of the Mist boat ride is available from either side (included with the New York side pass) and the same either way, it’s iconic so you will want to do it!

And although there are casinos on both sides, if that is your thing, stay at the hotel attached to the casino in Canada. I recommend doing the walk across the Rainbow Bridge between Canada and The United States if only for the views.

Don’t forget your passport when you cross, they are two different countries no matter what you’ve heard, and don’t do like the Australian in our class did if you should forget your passport; don’t tell the American border guard that you don’t have time for his ******* **** because you’re in a hurry when they ask you to step into the building. (it didn’t turn out well)
