So we did a soup themed potluck today. I made the “Steaming Goat Noodles” from the WoW Cookbook. Some of the other people seemed to like it. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it.

Our next theme is based around Game of Thrones. Though I am thinking about going off theme a bit and making a Honey Cheesecake (at the request of my friend who hosts the potlucks).

With wind-chill, it’s -30C (-22f) here this morning! Don’t think I’ll be walking the kids to school this morning and hopefully they’re letting them go straight in.

The crazy part is that by Wednesday, it may be warm enough to rain and then back to negative double digits again :frowning:

Yeah, north US is going to get a similar effect too.
Had to do a double take when the National Weather Service was going “hope you enjoy arctic air with your foot of snow! It’s all going to melt Tuesday with rain, then snow Wednesday and be horribly cold again!”

So after major power back spasms last night, I passed out and did not post my thoughts on the games yesterday. If you like football feel free to read. If not, skip it haha.

Whether you like the outcome or not, those two games are how a conference championship should be. Evenly matched teams play g two great games. No blowouts. This year, I can say the right 4 teams made it to the conference championship games.

Actually, the average cost of repairs and cleaning before an apartment can be rented again far exceeds $500.00, at least around here. If there was a pet it can be even higher, and if there was a pet and the new tenant has allergies, just having the heating ducts cleaned runs between $300 - $500.

I’m talking about a double house, I have no idea what the costs are for an apartment complex.

EDIT: I honestly don’t know how anyone can afford rents nowadays, and some other parts of the country have much higher rents. Yet the only landlords making a decent profit are those absentees who don’t take care of their properties.

Good morning.

The weather was incredibly kind to me yesterday. It rained a fair bit, but was only misty while my movers were working or if I was walking between apts or walking my brother’s dog.

The move went well for me. I left a few cleaning things over there, but since I’m not working to get the deposit back (given the damage and mess left by the daughter and son-in-law and pet menagerie), it’ll just be wasted effort.

Hope everyone is staying warm / cool / dry.

It was -12 with a feels like temp of -25 this morning. The furnace is running like crazy. I’m so glad I don’t have to leave the house today.:grimacing:

I agree! Both games came right down to the wire, as it should be in the playoffs. Patrick Mahomes should be really proud of himself, he did a fantastic job keeping up with the Brady Bunch. He’s a smart kid with a great future.

Now I have to practice throwing my arms up in the air and yelling, “Touchdown, Patriots!!!” for February 3rd. :football:
