Oof.
That’s why I have backups - I have a Chemex coffee maker and an Aeropress on top of my coffee maker. I usually start my day with a cup from the Aeropress, which is by far my favorite, and set the timer on the drip coffee maker. The Chemex makes great coffee, too. I usually use that when I’m having a relaxing day at home or entertaining guests.
I could go for some tacos. Hmm… Might have to go find somewhere that isn’t Taco Bell for dinner.

I’ve an electric kettle for my tea, but we’ve got one of the old school autodrip ones that stays on all day for my grandmum. I’m about to roll out for a doc appt (finding out today if I have to do surgery #3 or not), but hopefully I can dash into the store, grab a new one and get it going before she gets up.

My Keurig is slowly dying. Was going to get a new one until I realized I haven’t used it in over ten years and it’s my roommates that are running it into the ground. When it finally gives up the ghost, I’ll let them replace it.

Yes, yes I did. I can do a similar thing for morning “ritual”
- Put on kettle
- Feed cats
- Take meds
- Prep coffee press or tea mats
- Pour hot water into beverage
- Brew
- Pour into favorite cup
- Finish with cream/milk, whatever
- Sip and read news and forums
So, if I don’t have coffee, a strong cup of Breakfast Tea is nice.

Just ordered a new one to be picked up this afternoon. I’m the tea fiend, but the grandmum will suffer through instant coffee until my pickup order is ready.
Third surgery is a go, will have a date in the next day or so. This’ll put me out until after April now, so well over a year of all of this headache. Take it from me, folks. If you’re diabetic, stay on top of that mess. I’m lucky that I’ve still all of my limbs and digits, but the harsh reality is all of this muck - it could have been avoided had I not been a bloody idiot.

I am still mad at myself for not trying street tacos when I had a chance out in CA. Problem was, the event they were being served at was after I ate and I was VERY full.
Sadness.

Usually, if they are at an event, they are not the best. You have to go to an actual street vendor or specific restaurants that make they for them to be really really really good. When you do get the chance, get an asada taco. The steak should be cut very thin sort of like a philly cheesesteak slice. When they have homemade salsas with good flavor they are mmmmmmmm.

There is a street truck close to me that has this pineapple marinated pork that they just slow cook on a rotisserie. Sooooo good.

Got my DH to 70 now. It is very fun to do things with this toon compared so far.
Now, off to see Avatar 2. Unfortunately, James Cameron will not be there to introduce the film to us since he tested positive yesterday before the word premiere for covid. Still, seeing it in IMAX 3D for free before official release is great.
