Just finishing putting up the outdoor decorations. Hung the icicle lights. Put up a lighted snowman and reindeer. Put up a row of lighted duckies. Added a set of ornaments. Oh, and put a blizzard bear in the corner of the porch. I guess he’s just a light up bear, but I can call him whatever I feel like. He’s a blizzard bear.

Earth bread went well enough! Didn’t bake well, but that was my fault for not realizing I accidentally put my oven rack in crookedly, lol. First loaf wouldn’t have survived the trip out here, so I’m going to bake a fresh one when I get there.
Right now, I’m settled in the hotel and having dinner at a place called Wingers. Instead of bread or something, they serve popcorn. I love it.

2:40am Turkey-eve. Made a good dent in dessert baking. Sweet potatoes baking now for casserole and for freezing. Trying to get as much done ahead of time so tomorrow only minimal effort is required.
Who knows, maybe I’ll even get the Christmas tree up today. No guarantees on that though.

My chicken is 7lbs and was frozen solid. I took it out Monday and put it in the fridge but by last night it was still rock solid. Into a pot of water it went! Then back in the fridge. Water makes things thaw a LOT faster because it conducts heat very well. Even cold water will make the chicken thaw much faster than air. Should be thawed by tonight.
Might make some of the sides today, just so that all I need to do tomorrow is the chicken, gravy, and fresh green veg.
I am only cooking for myself though so none of this really matters, except that I enjoy the excuse for a fancy dinner.
Xmas trees are AFTER Thanksgiving here. I can’t pick up a tall one anymore and the cats get into it. Instead to do 2 x 3 foot trees that are elevated. Winter trees really. White lights, metallic ornaments, animals, snowflakes, etc. I keep them up all winter. I need to re-do the lights on both this year though which is going to take time. The old lights are dead on both.

Haven’t been able to find heavy whipping crème in any store in my area. They’ve been sold out since last Saturday.

I honestly don’t know if they do or not. I don’t like Turkey so I cook a chicken. They normally won’t eat human food. I have tried giving them plain chicken before (No skin, salt, spices, gravy) but they don’t really want it.
They do like lactose free milk, and Willow likes leafy things. So she likes greens if I have them.
They MIGHT get a little plate of plain chicken, plain roasted butternut squash, and plain mashed potatoes. I suspect they won’t eat it though.

Mom gave a neighbour’s cat some turkey. The cat wasn’t going to eat it until Mom said that the bird was bigger than a crow.

Bellatrix the Cat refuses to eat people food, she won’t even touch a can of tuna. It’s has the be Friskeys (nothing else) or 9 Lives soft food.
Butters the cat on the other hand, will walk off with hotdogs and chicken thighs

That usually happens with disconnects. Not saying there isn’t a larger issue, but this is all pretty basic stuff.
Just saying usualy we dont see this many reports.
I think there are an unusual number of people on right now due to the pre-patch and the holiday week (in the US). It means there are going to be people actively doing timed encounters who take notice pretty fast.

Another Thanksgiving at work. At least it will be 12 hours of time & a half. At a higher pay than last year.
