uBlock Origin is better - it doesn’t have a whitelist built in. And still blocks YT ads. And I use a third party app for YT on mobile, so no ads there.
I found a folded up piece of paper on my morning walk today. Curious Nosy, I had to look. Some kid got a lunch hour detention because they’ve been tardy four times. There have been five school days so far. Kid’s going to go far.
Edit: Sigh - up at 4, walk the dog for an hour, shower/shave, coffee, start work, realize I’m working the afternoon shift today to cover someone.
He is already King. He became the King the moment his mother passed. I read that the royal flag can never be flown at half-staff because there is always a monarch on the throne.
So, car OnStar told on me and dealership texted asking me.to schedule an oil change.
They camt get me in for a bit ao decided to go to a local place near me. My car requires partial synthetic oil. I didnt know that. $70 smackers for the oil change. It wpuld have beem free at dwalership, part of the purchase. 2 changes free.
After that $25 for life. Now i know why that is a huge selling point. Man
So glad to see gas prices under $3.00 a gallon again.
Yes, I realize that our gas tax suspension has a lot to do with it. Hopefully, prices keep dropping and the renewal of the gas tax won’t shoot it back up over $3.00/gallon.
We have bizarrely stable gas prices here. It was $3.45 for a couple weeks, but it went down to $3.39 Monday, where it’ll probably stay for awhile. We’re also some of the most expensive gas in Missouri for some weird reason. When I was driving back from “up home” a couple weeks ago, it was $3.28 in St Louis, but higher here.
3.78 liters or so. Even though we complain about how “expensive” gas is (I can remember when they added the “1.” to the gas price signs), it’s really inexpensive compared to pretty much anywhere.
I don’t have to drive much, unless I want to … well, do anything really. I could take the city bus downtown if I needed, but that’s half an hour for a ten minute drive. But the buses are free right now, so that’s definitely an incentive. But if I needed to go any distance, driving is about the only option; our rail system stinks, and inter-city bus service is pretty non-existent.
I did just price out a train trip from here back home, and it’s surprisingly reasonable - $83 for business class, which is pretty comparable to the cost of driving. Quite a bit longer though (the four hour layover in Chicago is the killer).
