[CS Lounge]: Maps and naps

Search YouTube for Sean Evans from Hot Ones eating a Carolina Reaper.

This year will be my first Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at home after 12 years of working retail. I can actually cook stuff without rushing and having to run off and sleep before the stupid shopping stuff happens.:poultry_leg::turkey:

A). I a give you that pun. It was good.

B). I know. So he went and did it a second time. There are two of them haha

I’m inventing something on the stove top. I’m a little afraid. I don’t throw food away and have to eat my mistakes.

It’s sorta (?) a stir fry.

Really can’t go wrong with stirfry

I’m dubious of these frozen noodles. Never tried them before. I’ll see in about 15.

ah. Frozen Noodles. I always de-thaw them to cook, but that’s just me.

I’m hangry.

And tired.

This is my dinner time. And everything was frozen…

I shoulda made soup

Noodles are a little rubbery. I tried steaming them with water of course and my go to Asian sauce Mr. Yoshida’s. But for the rubbery, it’s not bad. Should thawed them properly.

Gahhhh get off my lawn.

Sorry I had to.

I know you work crazy swing shift hours but it made me smile. And I assure you, I really need that smile right now.

I LOVE Yoshida’s. Wish Sam’s carried it. Used to always buy it at Costco

Mine does. They don’t all always carry the same stuff I’ve found out. The one up by my son has these incredible marinated mushrooms in a jar. Mine has asparagus in a jar… ( There’s only 2 veggies i don’t like and that’s one. )

But yeah, that’s one of my go-to sauces.

The cooler temps are finally here and it feels great. Now I just need to kick myself in the backside to start walking every day, even if it is just around the block. My arthritis/sciatica pain is doing better so I figure now is a good time to get out and get more exercise.

I will admit one of my excuses to not go walking has been it won’t be the same without my dog. I start to miss her quite a lot when I think about going on a walk without her.

I’m all short-haired now (and spiky this morning rather than smooth out bed-head). The chemo thinning stopped for now, probably just a timing thing with hair growing periods and which toxic drugs hit them at that point, but thin hair (something I’ve never dealt with) gets oily so dang fast on a head used to so much more.

WOW Classic I’ve been having that fun cycle of dinging an even level, going to the trainer and spending almost every coin I’ve collected. Doesn’t help that I’m pushing professions too. Several times I’d find myself running from Orgrimmar to wherever I had easy-ish quests to do because I couldn’t afford the flight.

EDIT: Oh, yes, 7-month old grandson is due over for a visit today. He’s working on crawling, but right now it’s a matter of not able to hold himself up with one arm to move the other forward, so he belly flops, reaches forward and pulls back up. Little inchworm method. He’s a happy little guy most of the time, which I’m glad of for my daughter’s sake.

North of Austin reporting in. it was a bit cooler today, but not by much, it was around 95 degrees at the most. Not the usual Summer 100+

Need a break from Historical Miniature gaming. Got a TON of Pathfinder Orcs to paint for my Fantasy Skirmish games.

Ugh, even for central Texas that’s too hot for October. Hope the colder air reaches you soon.

Even though it’s been below 60 here since last night, my AC came on this morning (it’s set at 74). That’s how well my apartment holds heat. I moved here for the lower rent, but the utility bills are also much lower than my old place.

Whelp my jury duty obligations are fulfilled for the next 5 years.

I am not sure how I should feel about the sentence we handed out. I don’t feel bad. But we did in essence hand down a life sentence
