Ok, so made the Lavacolada drink (no alcohol), but I think I failed in my layering technique as the top layer just sank like a brick.

Oh well, still tastes good!

lack of sleep yet again (honestly hoping the cooler temps return, that may help me with my sleep. :sleepy:) so i reactivated my account, and am doing some prepwork for the eventual faction change that’ll happen.

figured with Darkmoon Faire coming next week, and Pirate’s Day and Brewfest next month, i may as well make sure everything is ready so that when the day comes, i’m not scrambling around like a chicken with its head lobbed off.

Breakfast today (and probably the next few days…) is a Denver Omelette Casserole:

3 c frozen hash browns (I used diced, not shredded)
3 oz shredded cheese (your choice, but your choice better be cheddar)
1 c diced ham
1 Green pepper, diced
1 medium white onion, diced
4 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c milk
Salt and pepper to taste

  • Preheat oven to 350. Coat a 2 qt. casserole with cooking spray. Arrange potatoes evenly in the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle with cheese, ham, onions, and green pepper.
  • In a bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour mixture over potato mixture.
  • Bake, uncovered at 350 until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean (about 45 minutes). Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Super quick to prep, and boy, did the house smell fantastic while it was cooking.

i typically go with old cheddar, but sharp cheddar is just as good. takes a swig from his tankard

crashed earlier today after running errands. woke up just after 13:00 with no recollection of when i put my head down…other than i was out like a light.

in other news, i have it on good authority…that 1 out of 7 Dwarves is Grumpy.

So, is Bombur the prototype for Sleepy, or vise versa?

Boogy getting a haircut. Irnis so long overdue.

Only took him being grounded from video games and then a game bribe to get him to agree

But seriously, I am not entirely certain birds are not nesting in there

Tonight’s foray into the WoW cookbook takes me into Redridge Mountains.

Wish me luck.

hmm. i’d say Bombur is the prototype, as the Hobbit was published in Sept '37, and Snow White was released a few months later, in Dec '37.

won’t take much for me to get a haircut honestly. if i feel my hair is too thick and i can afford it, then i get it done.

i’m picturing Peter Griffin with that beard, trying to eat popcorn and the baby birbs taking each one from him. i also remember he named them after his children. though he could only remember Stewie and Chris, then decided to name the third one Boba Fett.

i mean considering they’re forbidden from drinking ale, can you blame them for this? though it makes me wonder…what did Happy have that the others didn’t?

hope you have better luck getting that Tough Condor Meat to drop than i did.

i’m typically forced to buy the stuff, as the drop rates were abysmal…and even then, it wasn’t cheap. x_x (though i digress, as that’s Classic/BC Classic i’m referring to.)

(strange…won’t let me tag wowhead stuff anymore.)

Yeah, I’m beat — been out hunting condor all day. Drop rates are horrible in my area, think I need to try a different zone next time.

10/10 would recommend

Hubby was very happy to have a dish that reminded him of the Hungarian dishes we had in Transylvania.

I am slowly learning to expand my horizons in regards to the types of spices I use in my cooking.
