The segment of my family who I see live is a very small segment.

Keeping in touch isn’t that easy. I check Facebook daily and have no problems with it.

“Friends” currently include (are limited to) two who were in my platoon in the Army (4th Battalion 18th Infantry Berlin Brigade), four who were co-workers before I retired; and family in California, New York, Michigan, Texas, The Netherlands, Oklahoma, Nevada, and Florida.

No way I would keep up with them all without it.

Getting tired of working at home yet?

Does anyone who doesn’t have one yet want a Garn Nighthowl? I have a spare one. It’ll need to be given to a Horde character on ThoBro (or one of it’s connected realms)

i’m not ready for the warmer weather. ._.

/uses Spirited Mickie Sweet and Tangy Bourbon BBQ sauce for flavoring

i managed to get one back during Warlords, though i think i bought it when it was cheap…that or i got into a group that was farming its respawn as finding it alive was next to impossible.

not the best looking mount in the game, but that’s just me. .-.

I’m going to preface this by saying… I am very much aware that the company I work for and position I’m in allows me to do this, so I don’t want to ever sound flippant about it. I know there are way too many people who aren’t in the same position and I am beyond hope that they can stay safe until the situation changes.

That said… absolutely not! I miss the camaraderie with my friends at work and the ability to hang after, but not dealing with a 1-3 hour commute every day is magnificent. Being able to cook lunch on a stove/oven, etc… and not a microwave or from a to go container is heaven.

Dauth is thriving working from home. His mental health has improved SO much. I’m hoping he can continue to do so once everything is “back to normal”.

Can’t say the same for the alcoholic I just booted. He yelled and cursed as he rode away. Probably the same guy my boss kicked out 14 hours ago.

Not to mention avoiding that smelly microwave murloc.

Whine whine why are realms down right when I wake up?

It’s a conspiracy.

So much I need to get done today, so little motivation. I can’t even summon the will to do something unproductive.

Got a fresh loaf of Italian bread as well as zucchini, yellow summer squash, eggplant, and tomatoes to use.

So, ratatouille it is.

The simpler old-fashioned way, as a stew rather than the more elegant and aesthetically pleasing layered dish you see called ratatouille these days.

More like a ciambotti stew, less like a vegetable tian.

So I grew up in Central Michigan, and my mom still lives there. She lives about 20 minutes from where those dams failed/breached over the last day or two. Now, I’m about 10 hours away. But boy, is it nerve wracking!

She lives about 15 feet above the (admittedly small) river that runs through town. I think the highest the water got in town was about 6-8 feet above normal.

Several local dams “failed” (i.e. couldn’t control the outflow) throughout the day, but two dams were breached yesterday, which held back pretty big lakes. They’re saying parts of the city just downstream from the two dams that breached could end up being under 9 FEET of water. There are tons of pictures and videos on the Michigan subreddit (/r/michigan), if you’re interested.

The good news is that the rain has stopped for now, and things should start draining fairly rapidly. The bad news is that there’s a huge chemical plant in the city, but they have been working for several days trying to get the chemicals moved to safety, as much as possible.

Scary stuff, man…

We had a ton of rain these last few days. That flood water has to be really cold. That makes it even worse.
