same here, my wife was showing me the cost of beef and it is insane as you said
Finally got my hair cut yesterday. 2 months overdo. I wasn’t comfortable but it had to be done. My barber, though, is a hard-core trumpanzee. He didn’t close a single day and won’t wear a mask. SMH. I was able to convince him to wear one (that I gave him) for my haircut. I was the only one in the shop at the time, so that probably helped.
Also, thanks for the comment in the other thread. I feel better.
most places that were still closed are allowed to reopen once again. but due to funds atm, i’m gonna have to hold out until the end of Jun to get my haircut. probably for the best, as my barber will very likely be swamped with customers for the next few days/weeks anyway.
mine doesn’t grow in long, it just grows in thick…
i’m starting to get a bald spot on the back of my head now. last time i had a haircut, was around the end of Jan/Feb(?) so i’m WELL overdue for mine.
I bought a clipper set years ago. I do my own hair and I don’t give a Moonkin if it looks off.
I learned long ago that my Quatro razors were not good for shaving my head. All that money I spent and they just got clogged. I got frustrated and grabbed my wife’s disposable Bic. They are like $6 for a 3 pack. Better than a one use and done razor, but not meant to be replaced is what I mean by disposable.
I have not gone back since that day. It works so much better than my expensive razors ever did.
I’ve been using a foil electric shaver for my head for the last couple of months. It’s designed to be used wet or dry, and with shaving butter, it produces an amazingly close shave. It’s better than any shaver or razer that I’ve ever used before, bar none.
Suddenly, I feel the need to watch the movie, “Hair”!
I’ve had to take the clippers to my head twice so far. I actually should do the sides weekly, or bi-weekly at most, it grows so fast. (For reference, normal hair growth is about 0.5" per month. What I grew in a month was closer to 1".)
I haven’t tried to take it down to completely shaved, though. A 1 (1/8"?) all over is the shortest I’ve done, and I look better with at least a 4 (1/2"?) on top.
Hmmm interesting. I am lazy and don’t shave as often as I should. So I take the guard off my beard trimmer and do a quick once over. Then I just shave in the shower. Put the showerhead on a strong beam of water to make sure the blades get cleared. Some shaving cream and just go by feel until smooth as a baby bum.
I made the mistake of going blonde rather than dark (always with the rainbow streaks though, 40 be darned) just before the shutdown.
I look like an echidna. With a rainbow stripe.
You look like a human disguised as a Gnome disguised as a Volpera.
So close to phase 2 i need a massage so badly got a haircut but thats only slightly important.
she’s a chick, playing a chick, disguised as another chick.
not gonna lie, that sounded much better in thought. .-.
goes and gets some coffeh to wake up
It was already 83 while I was driving to work today. At 4 in the morning. Thus does not bode well people.
okay, having that temp in the midst of the day is one thing…but early in the morning, when it should be relatively cool, is never a good sign. ._.
hoping things go well for you as well as everyone else none the less though.
its around 54 here…suppose to rain later on, though i don’t have any plans to venture out atm. (probably not a wise idea, especially given a “notice” that went out last night, that i wasn’t aware of and didn’t see until i woke up this morning.)
Oh no. It gonna get nasty. 98 or so before you factor in humidity. It gonna be a hot hit weekend here in town.
At least they serviced the kitchen AC Tuesday. We will see how much it helps today for sure.
Our own AC guy is supposed to stop by today to service and clean ours. We just had insulation put in but still the AC cannot keep up. Think g it might be low on coolant.
Fixed it for you.
Once, while camping, a friend set up a couple hammocks to lounge in. As I’m laying in one, waiting for dinner, the knot slipped. Dropped down, causing me to cause a muscle strain in my lower back that took steroids to fix. I still give him grief about that - but all in good humor - no lasting damage, and the hike back to our car wasn’t too horrible.
I woke up this morning around 5:45, confused why my alarm hadn’t gone off. Oh, well… get out of bed, take the dog out, and try to organize some thought. Oh - today’s Saturday; I actually had to look at my watch to figure that one out.
Going to be a rough day, I expect. But since we’re on our way to 93, I’ll stay in as much as possible.
on our way to 93
My dog is staying on the hard floors - no carpet or bed. She also had two swims in the creek we pass on our walks.
