OK, lady from my hometown. Stop doing this to me. Next thing you are going to tell me they brought back Galactican at Westgate West. Then my childhood nostalgia trip will be complete. Loved me some time at the Exploritorium as well.
Side note. Recognized it straight away when shot the scene in its exterior for The Rock. Also just because we are talking instantly recognized scenes in movies, the rest stop with Father Junipero Serra in Poetic Justice i recognized immediately (love the bubble house right around there as well), The overhead shot of the college in Copycats is CSM (College of San Mateo) and I was there when they shot the opening scene of Dangerous Minds in in that bus loop where the busses were pulling in backwards. That was shot at Burlingame High School. OK I am done. I think. Any more nostalgia trips for me ma’am?
The what where? (I think you mean Westgate Mall, but never frequented it. I’ve lived closer to Valley Fair, Eastgate, and Oakridge at various points, and Vallco in Cupertino was my home away from home as a teen. I owned hockey skates, a month pass to the rink, and often stayed to watch local amateur teams play.)
My solution was to cancel my sub. Of course I had some outside factors involved that at this time make the game not feel fun to me. But I am not going to get into that here. Way too much for the lounge.
Other than that, set a goal. One of each armor type to max level. If you have that all of one armor type to max level. Then all to max level. Hopefully that will help you break past your get to 20 then delete.
Unfortunately, with the way the talent trees are laid out, you are not going to feel a lot of how the class plays at level 20. You need to push through and keep going before you are going to get a real feel for the class and toon.
Uhhhhhh … does not compute. I’m fighting hard to not make another alt in WOW Classic. I’ve got 20+ characters as it is.
Well, what’s driving you to delete and start over? It makes more sense to me in WOW Classic, where the wrong appearance choice, or the wrong warlock imp name is permanent, but what in Retail makes you decide you don’t want to keep that character and continue later?
We used to always look to see what was in his hands. People always put something in his hands haha
I never knew it was called the Flinstone house but yeah that’s the one.
Westgate West was across the street from Westgate mall. There was a bowling alley there. If you went a little further in, it had THE arcade hangout where all the kids in the area, like me at Doyle and Saratoga, to way over that way, would hang out all day. It was common for my dad to give me and my step brother $10 each on a Saturday or Sunday and expect not to see us for the rest of the day.
Very familiar with them. Valley Fair looked really nice last time I was there, though that was a really long time ago. It had been recently remodeled.
Now we are talking. I very much loved that skating rink, and fell on my rear many a time there. Also thought it was so cool to be able to walk over the street while I was young haha
Ah, I see where it is, but doesn’t look like there’s anything of note there. Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, CVS, boring strip mall stuff. The southern portion of Westgate has an AMC theater now, though I remember it being The Jungle (a kid’s birthday/play location with pizza and climbing stuff, kind of like Chucky Cheese.)
Well we went wireless today. Cancelled our Dish, and went with Sling. Then got Disney Plus with Hulu and ESPN. Already had Netflix and HBO. Got a subscription to Starz and Showtime and we are set Seems to be working well so far. Showtime also gave us CBS All Access for $5 more so grabbed that. Now I can finally watch Picard baby.
We will see if we are missing anything or not. I honestly don’t know, but it should be a lot less expensive, even after we add unlimited data to our internet plan for another $50 a month.
My solution is to level them. I stopped deleting them willy-nilly three expansions ago. I did start an RaF account and an EU account to accommodate my need to level alts.
Just saw a character name that I would definitely report, but where I saw it was in the AH listings. Other than hoping someone else sees them and reports them, I can’t think of any way to report it than to /friend them, hope they log on at least one time while I’m logged onto that realm on that character so I can do something like whisper them so I have their name on a chat line to report. There was a past one that I didn’t consider quite as bad - just a generic drug name for a brand name pain reliever.
(Not quite as gross, but another AH listing name I’ve seen is basically the name of a big e-commerce site with an accented vowel, usually selling, well posting as I somehow doubt they sell, 20 snowballs for over 200 gold.)
yeah, i’ve come across some questionable names that i’ve been unable to report, mostly due to them not posting in chat.
i’ve seen worse. people selling light leather for a couple thousand gold. basic cooking mats for a few hundred a piece.
the token isn’t doing very well at present, and likely won’t rise until 9.0 launches. i’ve thought about resuming work on broken isles diplomat, but i may just forego it for now. too many people doing WQ’s on the broken isles, even well before the rep buff was implemented.
though if i can manage that, and the few remaining WQ’s, i should have part 1 done. part 2, i can work on with my RP hunter alt, and thus have flying in Legion, ready to go.
probably hoping someone with that much doesn’t pay attention to prices and buys it.
i honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it happens more often than people care to admit, and i’ll state for the record that i’ve been guilty of this more than once before…though not typically TOO expensive.
(ex-a stack of clam meat is 20s and i buy it without realizing that there was another stack a few lines up/down for a mere 5s)
Lots of things in both versions.
Choice of name.
Tired of how the class feels past 20.
Not enough time to raid
The grind.
The feeling of being left behind in Classic now.
Gradually seeing fewer people in high lvl areas.
Bouncing between PvP and PvE and hating both.
Wanting to heal, but hate it.
Wanting to tank, but hate it.
Wanting to DPS only to feel ubiquitous.
Zone fatigue
I have one “main” but the idea of only playing DK feels like a hopeless singularity.
