[CS LOUNGE] Hoppity Hippity

it froze my baby laptop and killed it

Did u get a druid to brez it.

Awful Memorial Day weather. It’s cold, dark and drizzly. It’s been pretty nice up until today.

The holidays seem to always be either like today or scorching hot.

Good thing we grilled yesterday. :dracthyr_nod:

Yeah, I’ve been spending a lot of Memorial Day under a blanket. It’s nuts it’s so cold.

Had a bit of a scare last night. I use an Asus ROG Ally since health reasons it’s hard to stay at my desktop, and I’m usually in bed. Suddenly my USB-C charger stopped working. Rechecked and replaced charger and connections and it charged
very rarely.

I fixed it though! Overheat problem, I just cranked up the fans a lot and even at max power it’s running and charging just fine. If only it didn’t take an hour to find the obscure way to manually turn up the fans
Google kept saying to download Asus software, none of which worked.

Still, alls well that ends well.

Glad you did! We were supposed to have storms all day today but it ended up being one heavy rain/thunderstorm in the middle of the day then just “threatening”. I got the rest of the string trimming done on the yard and my neighbor had time to mow. Quite pleased with that.

Hoping it cools off a bit here later this week. Not cold yet
muggy and 78 F here.

No company here or anything fancy. Just made myself fresh veggie pasta salad and burgers. Also have Strawberries because they are the best spring/early summer desert that exists.

I have watermelon for the exact same purpose. Even got some zero sugar watermelon fruit bars.

There’s so many good fruit to pick from for summer, awfully hard to choose.

Cant argue with that

i shows up quite a bit in our current mathematical understanding of quantum mechanics.

But why does it want us to look for our X when we dont want to go back to our X.

How is the Ally? I’ve been leaning towards a Lenovo Legion Go, because the screen is slightly bigger. But then I hear these companies are already preparing the second generation, and I want to see what those will be like.

Decisions.

Yay! Got my Kor’Kron shaman set.

I think it’s fantastic. I really like the Win11 interface since it makes it easier to install and more importantly access other programs like GOG Galaxy. I know a number of online reviews have that as one of their biggest complaints but to me it’s one of it’s biggest benefits.

As opposed to Steam Deck where you have to play nice with it’s Linux-based OS and set up convoluted paths. I just wanted to play Tyrian 2000
and gave up after hours of trying to set it up.

Also my experience but seems better performance wise, but has some real design issues, like the heating vents being right next to the charger and the Micro SD card slot. Next gen of the Ally is fixing that but it’s been an issue with some folks if yu’re pushing the GPU and CPU.

Still, next gen makes a ton of improvements (including 24GB RAM) although it asks for the pricy song of $800. Don’t think that is something I’m getting right away

I really need to reevaluate my work/life balance. This is the second week in a row I’ve gone in on a night off to take care of some inventory control only to get sucked into doing facility maintenance and tedious paperwork. As far as I’m aware, I’m the only person on payroll that clocks 6+ hours on their ‘weekend’.

That’s 6+ hours too many.

You’re never going to get help if management thinks you’re handling it fine.

But you know that. Take care of yourself.

Well, that feels kind of good. Been running dungeons for the past few days on a newly minted Tauren Paladin. I actually got good comments on my tanking
which is a bit shocking to me as I never hear anyone chat in party/instance chat.

I need to find a Bubbeh to make me some old fashion matzo ball soup.

That would be amazing. I was in Munich this time last year, enjoying beer and schnitzel with my sis. I’m planning another visit in September. She’s back in the Seattle area now, so I’m looking forward to some awesome seafood this trip.

Seenah has mentioned that anyone from CSF are welcome to visit :stuck_out_tongue: she remembers you fondly
