Sad part, no Robert Preston!
Where are you seeing this?
A quick google search shows a few mentions, one 6 hours ago: https://nerdist.com/article/the-last-starfighter-sequel/ including a tweet from Gary Whitta: https://twitter.com/garywhitta/status/1150563591566721024
My mom wanted to know “your friend’s source”
Such an awesome movie.
“It’ll be a slaughter!”
“That’s the Spirit!”
“MY slaughter!”
Because what’s the point of that Trust Level 3 if I don’t post gifs occasionally?
Man. Love that movie
Disney is also doing another live action remake. Atlantis: The Lost Empire. They want Tom Holland in the lead allegedly.
I’ve been up over 30 hours so far. And have to stay up around another 6 or more so my body’s clock doesn’t reset. I’m getting old for this. causes flare ups. I hurt.
Oh gosh. Wishing you the best so you’re without pain and your sleep schedule works out.
Is this Live Action Disney 2: Electric Boogaloo?
Seems they’re remaking everything. There’s even talk of a live action Snow White Lilo and Stitch,Lady and the Tramp, Cruella, one of the Prince Charmings, another Peter pan, Tinkerbell, Sword in the stone, Pinocchio, and a few others.
Although the Maleficent sequel looks freaking awesome…
I get the sense they’re running low on 'original’ideas.
Hollywood in general is. Everything is remakes and prequels. They’re considering a Matrix prequel now showcasing a young Morpheus. Why? We know how it ends.
Hmmm, that would be interesting. I have really enjoyed all but one of the live actions so far, and even that one I just felt the story was a bit weak.
It isn’t the ending that is always the most important, it is the journey. I knew how Rogue One would end, technically, but it was the details of how they got there that I really enjoyed. I love Morpheus’s character, and for me, his early days would be fascinating. Dealing with his quest for the one, his doubts of ever finding him, building of Zion, battling the machines.
Had a similar discussion with my now ex-wife about Titanic.
Spoiler: the boat sinks.
Okay, I’ll give you that one. I’ve watched it 3 times. I actually really love that one.
2 “original” ones Disney has in the conception stage is Snow White’s sister, Rose Red, and Night on Bald Mountain from the original Fantasia.
Hmm, so 32 years later we will have a sequel to “Coming to America”. Think I will pass on that sequel, seeing as the original is the only movie I have ever walked out of a theatre during it.
