Finally watched the Sonic trailer…

It’s The Mario bros all over again. :frowning: Plus…the teeth… Looks like Jim Carey is gonna be this movie’s Koopa.

Got my Saturday planned out. At 7am gonna see The Force Awakens at a local theater that gonna serve all you can eat Waffles, Sausage and Coffee. The later on the afternoon, Free Comic Book day! Got plans to take the youngest nephew to my local shop.

I was going to BBQ leg quarters Monday. But when I opened the pack I did not like the smell of the chicken. So I threw it out and everyone had frozen pizza instead.

I am VERY particular with my chicken. Thought it would hold in the fridge those 4 days. I was wrong

The trailer looked HORRID. That was my reaction, anyway.

I think Mario Bros would be Oscar worthy compared to what I saw in that trailer.

Yeah, I never keep raw chicken in the fridge unless I’m gonna cook it that day. It goes bad…FAST.

Aaaand now I’m hungry for BBQ chicken. :yum:

I need to get me a new slow cooker. The one I have has started getting a burnt or burning smell that makes me uneasy. Like it might be the wiring burning.

I can’t decide on a sleek red one or one of the Pioneer Woman flowered models.

I bought a official 8qt CrockPot from a local pawnshop for $20. Been very happy with it.

I’ve got one from Aldi’s that is one of their brands. Back then it was quite a bit cheaper than a name brand slow cooker which is why i got it. I couldn’t quote afford those. I’ve had it for about 9 years. It has given me lots of yummy soups. I didn’t expect it to keep working this long.

Everybody talking about being well behaved and going to work while sick and then there’s me, who used to catch everything her co-workers brought in lol. I very much so use my sick leave when I’m unwell because I don’t want anyone else to catch it - especially not our elderly clients, I’d feel horrible if I gave them anything!

Plus I struggle enough with mornings as is, imagine with an even more addled brain? Oh my haha.

Okay, I’m not going to lie…I’m excited for this weekend! Why? Well, I broke down and purchased a new Washer and Dryer combo!! Our current ones sound like the world is ending when we use them and I just really really wanted new, more efficient ones.

Not to mention…my washing machine comes with a mini washing machine too! Two loads at once!!! :lab_coat: in one washer and :jeans::tshirt::coat::socks: in the bigger washer!!

I also got excited when I got a new vacuum.

/insert random dad-joke about it how the new vacuum sucks!

Is it really already May? My Birthday month is gone and Spring is already upon us. I’m ready for the warmer weather and the summer. <3

We had an addition on our house. The idea was to be able to add a bathroom on the first floor, and move the laundry up from the basement.
We bought new washer and dryer for the new laundry room but left the still working washer and dryer in the older basement laundry room. We haven’t had many appliances breakdown over the years, but when they have it’s always been a pain. We run a load through the downstairs machines about once a month and keep them as insurance.

I actually had to replace my washer and dryer not that long ago. x_x (Those things are quite expensive.)

When we got the pair we’re using now, they were, well, cost-effective :wink: Now we can afford something a little more reliable at least and I’m hoping that this set will last us for many years to come!
