Great Movie 07/1981, With a 3 & 1/2 star, 7.2/10 IMDb, 87% Rotten Tomatoes & 76 Metacritic, Also has Lee Van Cleef & of course Kurt Russel along with 20+ more up and rising stars in it, I’ve watched it many times as well.

I know it must be special to you as well being bought in France and all; Are they speaking in French as well? I’ve got movies I bought when I was abroad with some in the countries language & some in English but closed captioned in their language at the bottom of the screen; Many of my collections came from China when I would travel there.

I also bought a bunch of video games in a mall once in China and once I got back to the states customs checked my bags and I was informed that they were bootlegged copies, I told customs how was I to know this because they were packaged like new from a well known respected store in China, Also had a vacuum sealed Peking Duck along with 2 dozen Boiled Tea Chicken Eggs that my Mother In-Law had stayed up all night cooking for me to take back in which customs threw away my duck & eggs but let me keep the games; I didn’t argue with them but to this day I can’t make sense of their decision, But also glad they didn’t charge me, The new packaging with the price tags being on them helped my case; But still why throw away my food ya know.

I’ve read many of your posts where they call you in and you always cover for them, You’re a good man Mast, I hope they know this and compensate you accordingly because you deserve it, Better still they should give you extra time off for covering for them constantly.

So turns out it was the cook I am covering for. Explains why I was asked for by name.

What it does not explain is me being told by one of the employees that the cook that left said they were just not feeling it today. Really? Guess what. Neither am I. But I am here.

Kind of pissed off if we are being totally honest here.

I’d be pissed off too if it were me; Seems like you are always being taken advantage of imo.

Reminds me of the last company I worked before opening my own business; I was always the one on call every weekend having to cover the entire US, I remember once I was on the phone with a technician until 4 AM; Yeah I was pissed; I know what you’re feeling; Hang in there man; Good things come to those that endure…eventually.

Yeah it is almost raise time. If I get the standard 1.5% I am goi g to ship myself out there.

I have worked short staffed in my shift the better part of a year. We hire people but they don’t last. When I discuss the raise I plan on bringing this up to see if they can go above the 1.5 garbage. That does not even cover inflation. Ugh

Woke up to a phone call from my friends. Her uncle just passed this morning.
I’m at Starbucks for her right now. I’m taking them to the airport tomorrow.

I’m so sorry for your friends loss. :frowning:

I had my orthopedic consult today. I found out I have bone spurs on several of the vertebrae in my lower spine to go with the arthritis. I also have sciatica. Next up, physical therapy.

I saw the End Game yesterday. It was great. It was worth the wait. I didn’t even realize that 3 hours had gone by it was that good. Saw it on an imax screen. Sat in leather recliners, with a beer and a tub of :popcorn:.

Yeah. I love them. But at some point I need to look out for my happiness too.

Not feeling it, and it being covered, is not looking out for my interest.

However, my boss was angry to say the least when she walked in on that conversation and heard the just not feeling it part.

How old is that person? “not feeling it” sounds like a first job kid. I’ve worked when I felt like death warm over because that’s how I was raised. My son inherited it. He has worked at his job for six years straight with out taking a vacation.
And I’m crazy because I had taken 1 week off in eleven years. Not counting cancer surgery.

Oh she is 34 or so.

2 kids. Boss is upset cuz she said her kid was sick. Lying is the worst of worst offenses to my boss.

And yeah my entire weekend crew worked sick for about 3 weeks. We just threw on gloves and masks and went about our business. I did it with a nasty case of bronchitis.

But that is how I was raised as well

Been there almost 6 years. Never legit called in sick. Been sent home sick before. Called in due to bei g contagious, but not cuz I couldn’t work. But because doc said no. Not for 24 hours period.

But other than that, nope.

Sounds like we were raised the same. I called in sick 2 times in 11 years. It was the flu and I couldn’t move. Also didn’t want to give it to others.

Need to find my miniature airbrush painting jig…

Just basically scrap piece of wood with holes drilled into it. I use golf tees to hold the mini and place them in the holes.

Making BBQ Chicken quarters with Broccoli Cheese Rice. Simple dish, I’m trying like hell to clear out my freezer.

We are making a ham bone / lima bean soup tonight. Soaked the dry beans overnight and now all of it is in the crock pot. Gonna be smelling mighty yummy in here pretty soon.
