My mother was obsessed with watching ‘Xena’ she still talks about the show.
Oh i got the refernce right away thi i got reminded of joxer theme song.
Just got an alert from work to change one of my passwords due to a security issue, and to then check my email for more info. So, I did. And now I can’t get into that account. So I suppose I’ll have to call the helpdesk in the morning to figure out what’s going on.
And I see Casio is bringing back the quintessential digital watch, the G-Shock. It’s almost an exact recreation. And it’ll sell for $217 when it releases in Japan in December. $217 for a (non-smart) digital watch? Really? I’ll pass for now, thankyouverymuch.
Hey folks. Sorry for my earlier outburst. Yesterday and the day before were, well, rough.
I took your advice Mirasol. I’ll see if there is medication I can get to help keep these swings under control once the doc is back in. I can’t do it myself.
I really hope you all have a safe fun Thanksgiving, or just a Thursday if thats not your thing. About to eat with the folks. Didn’t see myself eating much of anything just a year prior.
Think I got too much of a list to be thankful for…Anyway, take care!
@ing both of you to say I hope you don’t have to work too much today and you get a chance to enjoy the holiday!
Happy Turkey Day!
You honestly just made my thanksgiving day. I was so worried about you. I am so so so glad you are going to reach out. The meds you are likely on can cause mood swings too - like steroids. I am so thankful there are docs that know this stuff and can help.
Happy Thanksgiving and be kind to yourself!
Ah sugar. Still on Strawberries.

I personally love working the holidays. It means there usually aren’t any devs or engineers pushing fixes and updates, so less potential of things breaking. >.>
It’s also usually slower in post and ticket volume so I can get to things that I might not have had time for.
I hope everyone who celebrates it is having a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Oh, come on. Devs and Engineers never break anything while trying to fix something else. The devs at my job had to roll something back last week during the day because it wasn’t working right. That was exciting… “Yes, we are aware of the issue. They’re working on it. No idea how long before it’s working again. Just keep trying, and we’ll try to let you know when it’s fixed.”
Just to ask, given this info, is it more slowed down then the rest of this week? Is it slower, more crazy, about the norm, etc.?
I’m really, really sorry about that. I do have a mental health specialist to reach out to on my transplant team, and with their help I will try to straighten things out in my head.
And yeah, I learned my meds are meds of extremes. Immunosuppressants don’t play around.
Thank you for your well wishes, sincerely.
@Vrak, same when I was working. When I did retail it was time and a half and mostly dead, and in IT perfect time for moves and updates with students and staff gone.
It’s a real chill vibe.
Definitely slower than the beginning of the week, at least for the channels that I watch. Less tweets coming in right now, less mod reports, etc… No requests for breaking news or other announcements for a maintenance, etc… Forum traffic overall is slower.
While on this topic, mind telling us a day in the life of a forum mod? Like, what do you normally do besides posts on the forums. Give you something to type up if you have nothing better to do.
I know this team handles this forum, the CS Twitter, and forum moderation along with other stuffs which can vary from day to day.
He’s a very busy Centaur… Most of the time
Here’s hoping!
Well, I’m not exactly a forum mod, or just a forum mod. I moderate, but that has always been true. Just as I can technically function as a Game Master because I have access to the same tools and started out as a Game Master, but I’m not one.
My team primarily focuses on the Customer Support forum, our Twitter handle (which includes responding to CS related tweets that might be directed at the game/company twitter handles that get funneled to us. We also go through the different Reddit subcategories for our various games, etc… and have provided direction there when we could. We basically look through the internet for CS related issues that we might be able to help with.
We are the ones that usually put up the Breaking News and other notices for maintenance and outages and also help out with moderation on the 13 active game forums.
So my day is usually cycling through a lot of browser tabs. Keeping an eye out for requests from the game teams for Breaking news requests, etc… In addition I handle our CS/Tech MVP program, so I try to be available for anything that might come up there from our greens. There are other things that pop up from time to time, but that is the lion’s share of the tasks.
You realize by saying less dev around to break things thats like saying the q word or macbeth right
