My inner battle of the past couple weeks is finally at an end.
Now I need to figure out a way to put up Christmas lights for the first time in like ten years without letting the housemates find out I just spent almost $700 on new Christmas lights. Something tells me they’ll just get all judgmental about my spending habits.

Buy lego next time lol 
Subtly put them up one string at a time. One string around the door. Then a couple of windows. They won’t realize there is so many until you have them all up.

Thing is, I only bought three strings. Each has a lighted length of ~155 feet (~47m), so I figure one for the roofline on the front of the house, and two for the 10-foot Christmas tree.
I bought a half dozen strings of cheaper lights last year, opened one, and decided they weren’t what I wanted. The housemates know about those, but not so much that they’d recognize them if they saw them. I think my plan is to swap out last year’s lights with this year’s.
My mom used to pull a similar con on my dad when she bought new clothes (which was often). She’d put her new outfits in dry-cleaning bags on the way home. If he saw her walk through the door with clothes, she’d tell him she picked up her dry-cleaning on the way home.
I miss her. She would’ve convinced me 3 strings wasn’t enough, and bought me three more.

It’s your money. Spend it how you want. 
If fancy Christmas lights make you feel good, then it’s money well spent. We all need a bit of cheering up sometimes. Now people who see your house sparkle will share in that good feeling. 
We used to drive around all the time and look at Christmas lights.

My husband just got his booster done as well. He initially did the J&J shot in March. He had Pfizer for his booster.
I will have to wait until they make it more widely available for me to be able to get mine.

Well blizzcononline been canceled pity but under the circumstances probably for the best.
I got the J&J both original and booster. Took a bit of searching to find the J&J booster here, but found a place that didn’t require an appointment and it was opening this morning for the first time. The shot was a little more painful this time, but that was probably due to the person administering the shot being an EMT rather than a nurse.

The bad news. My phone bricked this morning.
The good news. Its replacement was already on the way and is scheduled to arrive today. I’d already ordered a new phone, since it was time anyway. It’s started showing its age - the battery life sits pegged at 99%, but doesn’t last 10 hours with light use. So I ordered a Pixel 6 last week. Good timing, apparently!
Edit: Just realized there’s one system I won’t be able to use today at work, but I can pawn that stuff off on someone else.

I have not paid much attention to the cast. Matt i oicture suoer scruffy, wirey and not overtly muscular. Perrin i picture basically a lumberjack haha.

Glad that I have plenty of the roast left over from last night, it is gonna be a cold wet day. So will just stay snuggled in my warm bed and relax today. Might cook a pot of rice to go along with the leftovers – just to switch it up a bit.

My lady friend and i were supposed to go mini golfing today. Off to google indoor mini golf haha.
Planned on coming home and cleaning last night. Ate dinner and promptly passed out in my recliner. Soooooo a cleaning i will go right now.
