I donā€™t think I remember ever getting anything like what theyā€™re calling for tomorrow into Wednesday. There is standing water everywhere and there just isnā€™t anywhere for any more rain to go. I kind of scoffed the first time I saw a weather watcher call it more or less a hurricane in winter, but with the winds theyā€™re calling for - itā€™s not far off if things land true to form. And theyā€™re already looking at something else going into the weekend. Itā€™s insane.

Getting ready to go hunting with my dad once when I was maybe 10. We were going to get up very early to start our drive, so I said hey, Iā€™ll just sleep in my long underwear so I donā€™t have to put it on in the morning. Dad said nope. When you wake up itā€™ll likely be slightly damp from sweat and then youā€™ll be cold. (50 years later and Iā€™m like, ha, neither of us knew anything about real nighttime sweating.)

Finally earned myself the Keystone Master: Season Three achievement tonight with the help of my Guild. Now to try and find a group to get the Ahead of the Curve Achievement done from the Heroic version of the current raid!

Dang, it looks like I might have to put on at least a sweater tonight. Projected to get down to a chili 50 degrees tonight.

Iā€™m double layering at work. Hoodie under my work jacket and over my uniform. Shorts under my work pants. I canā€™t fit in my jeans anymore otherwise I would wear them instead of the shorts.

Been without heat all night, about 8:30pm, we had a windstorm kick up and took out the power lines. Texas Power Grid and all that. Got real cold, had to move dad into the kitchen and turn on the gas stove and burners to keep him warm. Power came back around 4am. Got him under an electric blanket now, he all cozy now and sleeping.

As for me, I have stuff to do and some cleaning to finish. I told dad Iā€™m sleeping in late.

Thatā€™s super risky. Carbon monoxide and all. Of course, there arenā€™t a lot of alternatives in a pinch.

The snow started here while the doggo and I were having our morning walk. It went from just a few stray flakes to a pretty good snow in about 15 minutes. The ground was covered by the time we got home. The updated forecast now calls for only a couple inches, maybe a bit of rain mixed in. Weā€™ll seeā€¦

Managed to get three pieces of gear off one boss on my latest 70 yesterday - trinket, shoulders, and gloves. I may have used all my luck for the month right there.

Little propane heaters get a couple and lots of canasters to run them.

Hopefully you wonā€™t lose power again. Stay safe!

10-15 cm? Whatā€™s that, 1-2 inches?

Crazy metric system. All of you need to do it the American way. :muscle:

That would be about one banana, or about one sixth the height of an average washing machine.

Front-loading, of course.
