Crashing, freezing, and stuttering after 8.3 [Intel GPUs]

Just so you all know, if you play at any point during this issue. Blizzard has said they will not refund if you were able to play in any way even if you have issues during play.

Just wanted to add to the thread that I’m having the same issue. The freezing required a restart of my MacBook before the so-called fix, though now it only requires a restart of the game every time.

Just canceled my subscription. Not worth it to continue paying to play a toon who can level professions and not much as at the moment.

Blizzard, you guys are a bunch of clowns and you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. You don’t even have the decency to provide regular updates to the players. But hey, if I were cheating people out of money, I wouldn’t want to talk to them either.

Oh, and imagine resubbing to wow after not playing in months 5 days after the patch release not knowing this was an issue. Yeah, I’m that person. Wow is completely unplayable at the moment for anyone with a Mac. At the very least blizzard should give all of us a free month of wow time, especially with their extremely poor customer service.

This has been happening to me also since the update. I cannot play a dungeon, or any raid, or battleground because of this issue of freezing. Im playing on a MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar. I do not have the money to buy an eGPU as some has said that it solves the problem. I also recently bought gametime for an unplayable game…I would like a refund or an extra month of gametime after this problem has been fixed.

Sent Blizzard a ticket about this mess, here’s the response I got earlier

After reviewing your ticket, I see that you’re experiencing frequent game freezes in WoW following patch 8.3 on your Mac. I certainly understand how irritating technical issues can be when you just want to enjoy your gaming time.

To begin, this is a known issue on our development team’s radars, and we hope to have this resolved as quickly as possible. The issue was expected to be resolved in the most recent patch, however, sadly (as you know) the underlying issue persists. We do not currently have an official ETA on when this will be resolved, however, we will be providing updates on the forum thread linked below. I recommend bookmarking the forum thread to check back every now and then for updates:

If there are any other questions or concerns that you have for us in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to let us know! We’re always more than happy to do what we can to help.

Look I love this game, but I’m not using boot camp. That gives Blizzard an out, they need to fix the problem.

In what way are they more reliable than any other computer? Convinced of this because you spent 30% more for the same parts so you don’t have to know anything about computers?

The very fact that they are linking this forum thread in their official ticket responses is hilarious and incompetent. That right there means that they have not read any of our comments lmao. If they did, they would realize that this entire thread is flame, focused mainly on people saying that they’re dropping their subs, playing FF14, or are wanting there money back.

They haven’t read anything in here. The iconic and patented Blizzard customer service experience!

I’ve never had a virus on my computer. Sounds like Apple sold that story to you.

Then you are one lucky man if you are to post here saying you are a PC user who has never gotten a virus.

No, I just educated myself on what to do, and not do on my computer. I have built my own computers for the last 20 years, and I know how to maintain them. If you want to spend 30% more for inferior components just to have that easy button…Good on ya, but don’t pretend Mac is “More reliable”. If that was the case, more fortune 500 companies would be running Mac servers.

Well how often do you swap out a graphics card out of curiosity?
