Crafters saying “tip whatever you like” and rejecting orders when 50g is offered?

Well that’s where you’re fully in your right to tip them what you think they deserve if that’s the case. There is no rule that you have to give a tip if you don’t think they deserved one.

The benefit of tipping in an industry like that, is that the better servers will simply make more money than the bad ones. This drives them into a mindset that the better you do, the more money you will make, as opposed to if tipping wasn’t a thing and they all got paid the same wages, why would they try to be better than one another when there’s no reward for it?

I just tell them to give me a price, because I don’t like to guess my fee.

RIP. I hope it turns around for ya bud :stuck_out_tongue:

See i disagree. I just got my lariet recrafted, i supplied r3 mats, tipped 10k. Im happy to pay for the investment someone else did so i dont have to. If i wanted to craft my own lariet at 418 id need to spend alot more than 10k.

Why would that be reportable? He isn’t obligated to take your order.

2Kg? That’s A lot of Coke !

Yeah, that’s not an invitation to be cheap, though. I’m very generous with what I craft things for, but I’d ignore a request with 50 gold tip if someone was asking me to craft a lariat because that recipe wasn’t cheap. Crafter doesn’t owe you anything.

there are many many countries that do not have tipping culture and they do more then fine in their service industries

oh idk maybe cause you are paid to do a job

Japan is one of them. Have you ever worked in a japanese company, especially hospitality oriented like a restaurant or food?

I have. Pay was average. But the horror stories of work culture aren’t all exaggerated. It’s actually right down my alley, I’m a workoholic. But for most I can’t say I’d recommend that.

Different cultures from different countries performing well in the service industry without tips isn’t a result of tips not being there. You’re correlating something that’s caused by other things. And then applying it to video game logic.

If tipping your blacksmith in wow is related to service without tips, wheres the wage that blacksmith makes before tips? lol.

Please let me know which countries do not have tipping culture, I would love to know.

Ya and if I’m being paid the same as every other employee there, I’m going to take a look at the laziest one and set the bar there to just do slightly better than them. What do I care about going above and beyond for the customer when they aren’t the ones paying me. On top of that, unless I’m working at a 5 star restaurant or hotel where you’re going to be actually paid well, I wouldn’t care about getting promotions in an industry where servers are already paid poorly outside of their tips.

Incase you haven’t noticed, the majority of restaurant staff in most places are college students. This isn’t something where you’re going to get someone who takes pride in their work, most places that run off tips are minimum wage

50g is pretty offensive. You should be reportable for that.

If you demand payment, call it what it is, a fee. I’m not saying you have to take the work order, but dont get mad when people do what you tell them.

you just found the point, thanks

google is your friend

Just like a waitress is understandably upset when you give her a dollar for a $100 meal.

Germany

In a fancy restaurant I would tip well it’s no different here ,I sometime tip well in others to just see the reaction.

idk the public orders get done within a minute with 42 gold. looks like its enough

i do 5k for first personnal craft and then 420 for recrafts of the same thing if its the same person. didnt have any complaints so far.

if we go by that logic then tipping shouldn’t be in the game at all cause its not “video game logic”
why the hell do you need a tip in a video game where the “work” consists of you pressing a keyboard

Because the time, gold, and effort spent to even get to the point where you can craft the item. If it was just pressing buttons on a keyboard you wouldn’t be getting someone else to craft the item for you. You’d just press buttons on an alt.

and? no one is forcing you to craft peoples items for them, you are not at a job
you do it cause you want to do it, video games are a hobby

bad logic, try again
