Yes, it’s happened before IO even existed.
If you queued as mage and while we were starting i found out you were Frost or Arcane I’d kick you before you could even reply.

Very simple. Being able to pick the best ability with no drawbacks is a lot easier than picking an ability that has strengths and weaknesses.

The game definitely slowed people down and made people think. Not like today when you can just change Talents on a whim.

Yeah. It was horrible in Legion when you could change talents and Legendaries at will. Those 400-500 wipes on Mythic Argus that most guilds went through was just an illusion. For sure it was a 1 shot.

I haven’t even bothered with M+, but for raids in Legion my invites were only due to a healer friend that wouldn’t join without me. If I’m persistent and want to wait hours and hours I’m sure I could find someone that thinks for themselves that would invite me.
