2nd time now. Apparently this is the only character I own. Good one Blizzard I pay a 12 monthly sub for just one character
yeah, it’s back again as of about three hours ago. This is getting ridiculous to have to go through this every single month…
Yep, happened again for me yesterday. Same thing.
Same issue with my ‘trust level’ showing as “new member” even though I’m not.
Same general issue with it happening on/near the date my sub auto renews.
There’s zero reason the forums should be doing this to anyone unless they have actively canceled their sub or have a very specific action on their account like a ban/suspension, neither of which I have or should have.
Ridiculous but what’s new.

Just happend to me too. Managed to fix it by logging in and out but come on, why is this not fixed?
I have never been able to fix it that way myself.
But happened for me, yet again, all day yesterday. This kind of thing is one of the reasons I say things like “blizz doesn’t care,” because there’s no good reason this shouldn’t be fixed after months of it happening. It also renders the ‘trust system’ meaningless since some people can’t even log on the forums due to the bug.
This is still happening to a lot of folks Blizzard, do we plan to fix this? There are recruitment posts up for guilds with folks unable to respond to them.

I had this issue the last 2 days, where it was my battletag only showing. Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Silk (on Kindle), and the phone app…nothing worked.
This morning, I logged out of everything but the mobile app; logged into WoW on the character I used to use on here. Switched all her gear around…swapped rings and trinket slots; bought cheap lvl 1 gear and switched it out on her, then replaced her gear.
Also, cleared all browser history.
Logged into the forums on Chrome Incognito, and it showed nothing, not even the battletag, for character. Logged out, went to Edge, logged in and was able to pick from all my characters. Went to this one that I have used before.
Some sort of clog in the pipes?
ETA: still not working on Chrome. Working on Firefox and on Edge.
Me too. I got the same error yesterday.
This just happened to me on Chrome.
Firefox works fine.
On Chrome it says I need a subscription and a level 10 character to post.
