No they wouldn’t. The “sweatiest guilds” are the same crowd who do world first races on retail. These are the people who proved C’thun, an unkown boss, was unlikable to Blizzard. Wiping for days or weeks on a boss nobody knows how to kill is not “ultra casual” lol.
If you mean consumes. There is no point in being buffed out of your mind for a boss you are still learning and nobody in the game knows how to beat yet. The best guilds in the world provided through member contributions anything that was 100% required.
Classic players are a lot more sweaty if you mean requirements of raiders designed to trivialize the bosses as much as possible. So that would be spot on.

If GDKP was so good it would be used in mythic on retail but it’s not and never has been.

There are probably a few reasons why this is the case but one of them I think is because the content is much more difficult so you want as consistent of a roster as possible i.e a guild environment. GDKP is more of a pug system. I also imagine the people who sell mythic carries prog it with their guild and then when it’s comfortably on farm sell 1-2 spots. GDKPs can operate like this too but usually don’t; these are ticket runs and they are becoming more popular since wotlk.

It’s because GDKP is inferior to other loot systems. If you want gear you have a plethora of options. GDKP is also inferior to just selling runs and items is gold if what you want.
GDKP is just glorified in the classic community cuz we have severe brain rot over here.

Cuz pugs can’t do mythic raids.
3-5% of raids can even clear mythic.
Guilds who are making gold are selling the runs to people for tokens worth of gold, they aren’t making a gdkp where they need to bring 90% of their main to carry people and have them 1-3 people bid on items lmfao.

They are overall.
A lot more players can kill heroic rag than do current mythic raids.
Mythic level content isnt out in classic yet.
Yet they can’t even do mythics lol. So much for better players
