Cost of Raiding

But you can transmute undeath to water and get 100k gold.

Requires leveling a profession, aint nobody got time for that

What ya mean all those warriors who boosted to 60 spending all that gold to do so, the second they hit 60 buy Lionheart, Edgemasters, epic mount, etc they aren’t legit?

This being their first character on Anniversary as well.

Apparently lol.

Who would have thought?

Meanwhile I’m struggling to save for epic mount, guess I just need to get gud.

get gud broke boi

but you’d think banning GDKP would reduce RMT tho right :expressionless: how come it’s even worse on anniversary now

Anyone thinking banning GDKPs had a significant affect on RMTs has no clue what they are talking about.

That is clear.

It’s not worse; there’s been a huge improvement.

There, I offered as much evidence as you. But Blizz has the data and kept the ban after trying it out in SoD. So draw from that what you will.

Your perception on Anniversary is warped by Megaservers. You’re seeing all the players and bots crammed together, instead of spread out. Of course it’ll look even worse.

By the way, still waiting for evidence for that claim you made that Blizz said the Black Lotus change would take months to take effect.

why do you care about the black lotus shortage :expressionless: you can just blame that on megaservers too

You made a claim. So show evidence. Or just admit you made it up.

But it seems you’re incapable of that.

Banning gdkp made RMT significantly worse.

If you disagree, you’re likely 1200 rated in arena or never cleared deadmines (dog-tier player).

100%.

Nobody is making any gold from raiding anymore.

I think blizz giving in on retail and selling gold and making game time buyable with gold is what created all these poor players that need to turn game time into money into game time into money

I think it’s worth noting that this is true but it’s disproportional. Like people crying about consumable prices when dreamscythe has like 60% lower prices than nightslayer across the board.

Nightslayer has a much higher population.

That’s just more evidence that more players per server = even higher prices.

I guess, I just checked ironforge and yeah there’s nearly double the raiders on Nightslayer so I imagine the demand from that alone is substantially higher

Another important element I think is that the game was growing and there was a steady influx of new players from vanilla through wrath, so there would be inherently less FOMO than now where activity is lower when you’re behind the progression wave.

A 40 man raid might of had 2-5 swipers, now it has 20-25 swipers since no one can make gold off gdkps.

It’s not really surprising fresh is the way it is.
