what is the point in obtaining corruption if you’re ultimately going to nerf it to the point where you don’t even care if you get x, y or z?

And that is why you never toss/cleanse corruption unless you have duplicates. Just like any other new system added that allows you to burn through items (aka like really hard to get gems).

You know, there’s one thing that would make these nerfs and buffs less awful!
…give us a currency for cleansed corruption that lets us target BiS corruptions and insure against RNG/Blizzard balance.

Seems like they’re trying to get me to spend more on Tokens, for gold to buy the new OP corruption item.
why else would they come on BOEs?
Yeah, I mean I’m looking at it now and mine is only rank 2 which is only 1.2% health so it’s doing like…4.5k a tick at max health? On top of the fact that I have to stand stupidly close as a Warlock, not to mention the fact that I won’t be benefiting strongly from the AoE, because again I’m not stacked at the front.
It’s really not going to be worth taking, messes up positioning too much for the value if it is reduced too much.
On the other hand a rank 2 or higher infinte stars requires no positioning changes or awareness and still beats it out handily.

I have a tier 3 twilight devastation. Though my ilvl is low, I was considering getting my cloak after they nerfed the dps required from tanks.
Sounds like it’s not worth the bother now.

Make people work to earn the privilege of using the gear they got, then nerf it so they’ll have to go out and get more gear and work to earn the privilege of using that gear.

I think the nerf to twilight devastation is fine, but then you need to also look at the amount of corruption that it gives and also look at the proc rate. There’s no point nerfing something heavily to the point no one uses it.
Funny how those two corruptions are the first 2 I got. Void ritual and deadly momentum. And then you are nerfing twilight devastation the one I replace those two just recently.
Your RNG is out to get me I knew it.

This is the first time you’re doing major nerf mid World First race. At this point you need to reset the mythic race or nerf all bosses to compensate, raid group would do 30% less dps with this nerf and might not be able to reclear.
Your Quality Assurance just keep getting worse and worse.

I had agency with Corruption, since just today, I opted to cleanse my 475 weapon in order to wear 2 pieces of Rank 2 Echoing void on other 475 items I had.
Now of course, just as luck would have it, they nerf my build I used agency to make.

I’m glad blizzard stands with the long held tradition of nerfing fun. Maybe if we’re all lucky, they’ll start tinkering with traits again!

If you are going to run a roller coaster of nerfs and buffs, maybe you should consider allowing people to uncleanse their gear.
