First some of your mains didnt get echoes because we already haves r3s essences now we cant corrupt them? Why are punishing some of us blizz?

Look, let’s get some things straight.
The corruptions aren’t visible to many people. The vendor bugs out and requires shard-jumping, sometimes numerous times, to fix.
The vendor isn’t useable at all to many people, and seemingly unlocks after doing an assault. But then you run into the shard bug above.
People who were very close to buying their rank3 essences, or were saving up to buy them at once for some reason, have had that effort effectively reset.
The majority of the best gear in the game can not be corrupted with this system, because it’s 475 m+ chest loot, or it’s mythic raid weapons, or other high ilvl loot which people have cleansed.
The result? If you are “geared” you’ll be lucky to have 1 or 2 slots that you can corrupt. You’ll be forced to downgrade your gear in order to use the system, only to later receive upgrades that you’ll have to grind more echoes for, just to be able to wear the sort of gear you had in the first place, and corrupt that. Like you SHOULD have been able to do in the first place.
Nobody wants broken crap like this released. BFA and 8.3 are bad enough without doing more of the same.
They should have announced the change and worked on the bugs, while the community told them the other problems they’re too stupid to consider. And then they should’ve fixed that stuff. We could have all waited a week or two and collected echoes, and then enjoyed something in 8.3 that worked properly. Wouldn’t that have been nice, rather than yet another dumpster fire.

If this is a representation of what quality system they accept as passable then you should be shuddering in terror for Shadowlands.

My thoughts exactly. If coding resource is so tight that they can’t test and fix stuff like this, Shadowlands is over before its begun.

Can we get a list of all corruptions that will be available for purchase? Mainly curious if Lash of the Void is going to be purchasable.
I cleansed an item (AFTER maintenance) and I can not apply a new corruption to it.
They do it to keep people on the hamster wheel. Sad what has happened to this game.
You can corrupt those just did it on this toon with a 475 i got from a chest a while ago
Did you know that their originally was no cost to cleanse items on PTR? Pepperidge farm remembers.
This needs to be fixed… I hope you guys are not planning on just ignoring this problem.

I appreciate you adding this amendment to the system.
Like many other people though I have an item that would be very good if I could corrupt it again.
Is there any chance that this issue might be fixed in the future?
I am grateful you added this to give us more control, but the slim odds of me, or players like me getting these items again is painfully low and really sours what should feel good.
Could you please let us know if this is being worked on still, or if it’s just not going to be possible.

corruption would be way better if you could just choose what corrution you want. I’ve been playing just as much as my friends and getting roughly the same ammount of drops and still am doing almost half the dps at the same ilvl purely because they have good corruptions i’ve never had.
Also corrution in PvP is awful. Corruptions are hitting harder than greater pyroblast. Is that intentional?
So hey, I cleansed a weapon last night on my hunter. Will I be able to recorrupt it? Don’t want to farm another 475 weapon…

Can you please clarify if gear that was cleansed before this update is planned on being fixed or not?
It took weeks and weeks to get the 475 gear from my weekly chest that were stat upgrades, and it will take weeks and weeks to replace them.
…Not to mention that I just bought my first Gouged Eye of N’Zoth and unwittingly put it on a piece of gear that I cleansed before the update.

Still can’t add corruptions to pieces that were never corrupted and thus never cleansed. Terrible system.

Please make crafted BOP items corruptable. Hearing people say the 470 bop gear isn’t corruptable, which really really hurts.

Echoing what others have said. I spent so much time farming corrupted mementos to socket my 475 pieces which also happened to be cleansed. It’s really going to suck if you all can’t find a solution to this.
In an expansion riddled with problems, please do this last thing right.

You need to give much more than a 17 hour lead time for a major increase to essence cost. You need to make this right by those that had currency that is now worth 20% less. Communicate this asap.

You have really screwed a ton of people by not allowing us to corrupt the gear that we cleansed because they were horrible corruption.

You need to add actual healing corruptions to the game. How anyone can think avoidance is a stat for healers or dps or even most tanks, shows the person that invented corruption does not play the actual game. Why that is even on the loot table for healing is shameful.

Why can’t I add corruption to a new item I got in my bag? It is new this week and I did not remove corruption, it never had it. Why will this not work and will you refund my currency because this is broken?

Despite all the negativity everywhere on this post, Id just like to say: Thank you Blizzard. This is the kind of update/feedback that we have been asking for. You are all doing an excellent job keeping the channels open despite the internet throwing mostly hate back at you. From a long time player, Keep up the good work!
(Oh yeah, and the change is nice. Thanks for correcting a broken system no matter how long it took to do so.)
