I think this spells bad things for the Alliance as a faction though. I mean, do you want to see Tyrande as a raid boss?
Shes wrong tho, the high king was a position made to defend against the horde, in mop, its literally not blood as the alliance high never started a war like the horde has.
I do understand it is a bit different, but I think regardless of that she seems to be saying she is happy with the division presented in the Alliance and wants that to continue. I think it could lead to bad things though, unfortunately.
No, but at this point, Blizzard’s active malice to the Night Elves can’t surprise me anymore. I can hope they do this the right way, and play at more human villainy with the Alliance. Make Stormwind the corrupt institution that needs to be cut out of the Alliance, much like Sylvanas was.
My hope is there… Tyrande is not alone in her sentiments. Genn supports her, and it would not surprise me if Turalyon and Alleria support her too, given their experience with the Horde being only war and destruction.
But Anduin’s plot armor is strong. If the future of the Alliance is the slow extermination of Alliance characters, such as Tyrande and Genn, then I think I am finally done with this game.
peace is always gonna be the correct choice soo that has nothing to do with plot armor Wow is a anti war story, so the warmongers are always gonna get what they deserve
Are you honestly going to sit there and claim Anduin doesn’t have plot armor?
Oh wait, you are Kat, of course you are…
… Why don’t you just play a human paladin?
I think your hope is misplaced here, sadly. The only hope is that Tyrande has some coming to moment in Shadowlands, where she speaks with Elune or something like that which makes her feel better… so that they don’t make her a villain… because we both know how Blizzard writes stories.
he has as much plot armor as baine or thrall, or tyrande does right now
this is the only path where the nelves come out as heroes, because like I said, blizzard will never tell a story where war solves your problems, and frankly they shouldnt
Yes, actually. Because if she’s not a raid boss then she winds up being a quest NPC for everyone (Horde included) again. I’m not a fan of either option, but I’d rather not have to do more quests for Tyrande.
Well that’s fine but I disagree. I love Tyrande, no matter what faction I am playing, so would prefer her not be a raid boss. So I will take the quests.
Thats already whats happening, theres no story for factions in shadowlands Just one for everyone 100% comfirmed
Maybe, but that is not super satisfying. Tyrande is right… but perhaps for the wrong reasons. The Horde, as it stands now, is little more than a puppet state of the Alliance. Baine has repeatedly put Alliance interests above the interests of his own people. He betrayed Garrosh by warning Jaina about the attack on Theramore knowing that put the Tauren in danger. He returned Derek to Jaina knowing that put the Tauren in danger… I am not saying such things were not the right things to do, but it is still he going against the interests of the Horde, and putting his people at risk.
The Forsaken leader is still up in the air, but it’s either Voss or Calia as far as I am concerned, and given their relationships with one another, that might as well be the same outcome.
The above could change, we could see points of contention between Calia and Voss… We could see points of contention between the Horde and Delaryn. We could see Talanji vengeful for the death of her father.
My hope? What I want to see, are the factions to be completely dismantled. I want to see the institution of Alliance and Horde to splinter beyond recovery. I want to see Baine and Anduin fail to keep their people in check, as things spiral into Chaos, removing the factions completely. PVP becomes something between third-party factions, not just red vs blue. Where players can decide what side they want to be on. I want to see Capital cities become hubs of all races, as the lines between friend and foe are blurred.
Is this likely? Probably not… But its what I want.
What makes you think that?
No, war is the last resort against those who refuse to be accountable for their own actions.
As I mentioned, I see Baine as someone who has Championed Alliance interests before Horde interests. He is a personal friend of Anduin, and leads the council. Thrall is weak willed, stricken with guilt and easily manipulated. Calia’s soon-to-be influence is yet another Alliance voice in the ears of Horde people.
calia isnt gonna be a leader, blizzard already said she isnt Ion the game director
Funny, that doesn’t seem to be what I said…
mhmmmmmmmm
Baine will bring the horde to ruin.
Genn and tyrande kill baine first
Right, and it’s a pretty awful idea, on par with Horde “willingly” helping Jaina because Baine was sad about her brother (and later saving Baine). The only redeeming factor for those quests, and the war campaing in general) was there was no penalty for simply opting to ignore them.
It’s tiresome to still keep doing the faction / no faction dance while questing - especially after BfA.
