The Garrosh events are what gave blood Elves the authority they now have. And they were definitely willing to go to war this last time. Even eager as they sent their own assassins to eliminate Astraanar in the opening move.

Everyone knew about teldrassil until everyone didn’t. She riled everyone up with the idea of occupation. No one knew about “BURN IT!” Not until she ordered it not even her boyfriend. If you think the sin’dorei aren’t am authority figure in the Horde, go to Orgrimmar today and watch Liadrin and a bunch of Blood Knights teleport into the city, march the streets and command order and obedience from the population who obey without question.

Burning was one hundred percent a Sylvanas only thing. Why do you think Saurfang turned on her? He planned and organized the whole war of thorns including how they would conduct the ocupation in the end. She used him like she used everyone else.

But didn’t the novel say that they had nearly half the horde army with them. How could they muster that large a force without telling the leaders anything? Unless Sylvanas told them that they were going to Silithius, but she had just sent the Tauren druids down there. Something is off.

The bulk of the army I believe it is stated know nothing until Saurfang turns around in the Barrens and tells them that they are going to Ashenvale, not Silithus.

i believe they had that force prepared to silithus, so sylvanas as warchief just ordered to attack.
she could ignore all the others leaders.because well, she is the warchief.
Memory might be foggy of in game events, but according to my recollection, the army splits in Barrens with half going south to Silithus and the rest continue on to Ashenvale.

Some needed to though, to maintain the impression that Silithus was the target. If not alliance spies are pretty lazy.
I mean they went to ashenvale and that was that the alliance knew ashenvale borders barrens the whole thing form going to ashenvale to the burning takes like 3 days
The Horde now has no Warcheif, but the Alliance still has a High King. Hopefully the legacy of the High King is as bloody as it was for the Warcheif. I liked Anduin at the beginning of BFA, I am done with him now.
