It was a character that came from Wyrmrest Accord to Moon Guard, since there were some people they wanted to avoid on WrA Alliance. Not saying WrA Alliance is all bad. It was merely a personal issue.
I don’t know who described it as an utopian society, since something like that literally cannot exist. Also, people avoiding things that they’re embarrassed about… that’s annoyingly common. I’d prefer they righted whatever wrongs they commit, admit to it and reverse the wrongful bans at least.
It’s tempting to open a new server that will do better, but I’m not capable of making such a thing that will outshine the flawed server. So, I will continue trying to be a good member that can encourage better behavior and values that stands against childish tantrums and methods.
I play on MG Horde, and there’s this sort of stereotype that WrA Horde players are sometimes extremely rude
So, I can kinda relate to this. Also there’s the ‘MG is for innaproprite/ ‘adult’ RP’ thing, so yeah lol
I thought the same about MG as well, but when I joined and did rp there, it quickly became my primary rp hub. WrA are no less inappropriate/‘adult’ than MG. In fact, when I left, I had found they were just in denial and were still in the closet with their interests. MG has a lot of serious rp and the inappropriate folk are at least open about their interests and intentions.
It was probably just someone making an excuse to get that dank erp.
As for me, I basically have a clear, “no high elves” comment in my ooc info. Only people who blatantly disrespect my preferences face ic consequences for their ic actions. I’d rather not RP with them at all. I get so many whispers from Mary Sue high elves wanting to tell me they’re not like all the other girls who are offended that I don’t want to RP with them. It’s always the same shtick, “I just want to play a pUrE special elf who is uNcOrRuPtEd. Why don’t you want to RP with me?”
I can’t believe they lied to us. They said repeatedly that they were going to be adding more character customizations throughout the expansion. Their are still races that need a ton of work. With no new Allied races, or classes being added customizations were the one thing that they had to get the player base hyped. I wish they would understand that raid tiers, and gameplay systems is content that only relevant for the one expansion that they are introduced. Why can’t they understand that things like cosmetics, player customizations, and player housing is all content that remains relevant the entire life cycle of a game. I fear that until WOW gets a game director who understands this nothing will change. I don’t know about you, but I feel very let down my friend.
Hi, I’m Kanthinus, AKA Wrenchester. You might remember me from such threads as every single HElf/BElf thread prior to the announcement of the HElf skin for VElves, and also my endless dislike for Void Elves. I’ve played since Vanilla, y’know!
I just unsubbed as per that ‘news’ on customisation. Congratulations, Blizz, managed to do something that even Warlords didn’t make me do.
WrA Horde literately doxed one of my friends. I am notoriously biased against them and will remain so for all time. Its a pity my old guild moved over there, but you mess up that hard with one of my friends and I will treat the entire server in kind.
Well I’m sad to see you go, but I understand. Also you are right about the player housing. Most MMOs with a player housing system add more homes and collectable furniture every expansion. I know WOW isn’t most MMOs, but you would think that the devs would at least see what content players in other popular MMOs were keeping them there(hint it’s mostly cosmetic, and customization related content) and would have enough common sense to add their own version, and then continue to build upon it. Instead we devs that are obsessed with catering to ever shrinking minority of hardcore raiders .
I’m unsubbed as well but not for customization specifically. But the biggest let down of customization for me was not expanding on the diversity options.
I just wanna say their initial inclusion of new diverse skin tones was to be applauded.
But I would like some of the nuance that goes into BE options 1-10 (using BEs as an example as it’s what I play).
The new olive skin tone I’m using on Lann is nice but it’s a drastic step up from 10 and 12 is a drastic step up from 11. Where are some of the various undertones for this range that we see in 1-10, and then options 13, and 14 need various undertone nuances in options too.
It feels like a make up line that only has a few shades that aren’t white. Like I get the thought and it’s a step in the right direction but I assumed this for sure would be something covered in their alluding to customizations as being ongoing.
I thought for sure that was something being expanded on. I’d like to see a lighter olive than 11 but still olive in that range because 10 is just Eurocentric with like a lot of red undertone, I’d like to see something darker than option 12 but not as dark as 13, and so on and so forth to include more nuance to encompass the diversity they received my initial applause for.
