It has pointy ears, but is it even a elf anymore?
I’m all for the 3rd eye and tendril beards; but that isn’t a beard.
I was expecting something like small thin tendrils hanging from the tip of the chin or something.
This seems a bit much to me… I think the partly ethereal skins would be the better way to expand void themes going forward… I think this just bottlenecks void elves from a overarching void theme to a very specific old gods theme.
If I wanted a old-god looking void elf though i’d tone down the the tentacles here down about 70% and slap it on his chin, give him fins for ears, remove the mouth stomach and give him Cephalopod patterned skintones with gills on them.
**Will there be more new character customization options added in Shadowlands?**
Ely Cannon: We're not going to add more character customizations to Shadowlands. Let me explain that: So, the breadth of customizations that we did add, we thought that it was pretty good and, you know, we tried to add things for mostly every race.
There are a few we didn't get as many customizations options in for, and those are the kind of things that we'll be looking forward in the future, we know, to what can we do for the races we didn't do as much for, what would be the right choice there? We tried to be really thoughtful about this, this type of thing, and these types of futures tend to be fairly big projects. We want to make sure that we put the time in, that we're very thoughtful about it, and that we release new customizations when its gonna be really good for the game, really good for the players, and that's still gonna happen in paralel with getting new content out too.
That's always our primary goal, making sure that you have new content to play, and we'll do those other things to enhance the game along the way, but it wouldn't make sense to make it when we don't have a good plan for it.
All points I have heard before, as I am sure you heard mine. This will probably be my last response for now, unless you inquire further something from me specifically.
That discord server often varies in numbers, as people come and go from it. Also yes, there are some, very few antis there that help remind the pro helfers that not everyone wants what they want.
You mention these tons of people that are against it. Where does this suggestion of many come from? I do not doubt that there are a lot of people that do not want it. Both sides are passionate about there sides and I hope they continue on in their debates and discussions. They express more passion for the game than a lot of people that play the game.
This is very true. Nightborne deserve better. I enjoy playing my warlock nightborne, but whenever I take a look at her, I feel disappointed. I hope they at least give the nightborne some love throughout this expansion. Even if it’s just them, I’d be fine with that.
There’s a few, they stay quiet, and the rules apply extra to them where otherwise they might be bent for pro supporters, but there’s a few. From my recollection assuming they are still there.
There are some unfair cases, but there are also been reasonable bans. If I had it my way, if you can be mature and discuss disagreements, then that’d be great. I’d prefer there being no bans.
When I got banned it was when they were cleaning house and had banned all antis after one of their mods tried to hack an anti (which they had discussed publicly in the discord itself so they knew was true) so when we complained to the mods they decided banning all of us was preferable to punishing the mod.
So tbh I really doubt there were any reasonable bans.
Something like that is of course wrong, but I have seen people that disagreed treated with well and with respect. I have also seen some that became vile and unpleasant. So yes, some bans are reasonable.
What you mentioned is clearly wrong and when a mod does something wrong, they needed to be removed as a mod. I would ban a mod before banning someone that’s prone to getting heated.
I rp on Horde side as well and I see blood elf rpers often being spat on and discriminated against, not being recognized as people of the Horde. My dedicated Horde OCs can’t seem to get away from these types of characters. I’m willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and say it’s probably bad luck.
That’s an impressive in-character and lore relevant thing to say. You make it believable that there are still harassed citizen within the city and an active schism. This is a common rp I have seen as well come up. Some rps like this encourage blood elf rp of leaving Silvermoon and the Horde. I have seen people rp as blood elves that were smuggled out and live within Alliance territories.
Are you the one that chased this poor blood elf lady into hiding with her two sons and one daughter, that was eventually helped and taken to Stormwind via a Wildhammer? You said a lot of the things that she claimed the illidari blood elf said to her.
The “poor Blood Elf lady” wouldn’t be bothered by me. Especially since I don’t play on your server because Horde is dead there and has been for years.
I only shun and try to execute people whose characters identify as High Elves. High Elves were literally exiled and there’s been no lore that explicitly says the traitor scum is welcome in Blood Elf territory, especially after they imprisoned and killed Sunreaver civilians because of the actions of a few.
