I give up. You refuse to hear me. I don’t even think you’re actually reading my replies at this point. She was “disagreeing with me” over something I was never arguing about. That’s why I felt “attacked”.
Yes you have a point and I understand where you are coming from. I will argue this from a different perspective. Let’s put the lore aside for just a moment, and look at aesthetics. First of all if I didn’t care about aesthetics I would not be bothering with these threads. Taking that into account, it bothers me that my Void elf choices are literally limited to blue and purple hair atm, and 2 grey-blues. I get the whole Void elf theme, but I think many people need to understand that it’s a very niche theme. Blizzard aims for races to appeal to the vast majority, and when it comes to blood elves/void elves it’s really important that it does because they are extremely popular. If they continue to limit Void elves to just blue and purple hair, then they will not be catering to the majority but to the emoish goth kids (no offence to those) who play WoW.
Now, I am nowhere near a goth/emo kid, I love blonde, white, and pink hair, and I just consider it silly at this point we have come to to be forced to switch faction for a hair color. Like I said in my other post, I have suggested borrowing just 1 blonde shade from Kul tirans, and even reinforcing it with dark blue void highlights. Yes it will be blonde to the majority, but not the exact blonde Blood elves have, and certainly not of a light theme with the void highlights on it. In my opinion it will very much be a trendy voidy color.
Can we please give the poor nightborne some customization love? IMO belf and velf have gotten plenty already.
I have suggested changes to about 4 or 5 different Allied races and put Nightborne at the top of the list in another thread. Nightborne could really use additional customization like new skins, young faces and hairstyles, and an overall rework in general, although I do like their posture personally. They are just lacking and were very rushed.
While I agree with this, and that nightborne should definitely be prioritized.
This doesn’t mean people should be discouraged from making suggestions for any elf race.
Pretty sure everyone is aware about how horrifying nightborne look lol
I’m never getting what I want.
What do you want?
Okay so first I admit I wasn’t reading replies after a certain point just giving out likes last night or I would have said this far quicker or come to diffuse stuff much faster.
Second I really appreciate you always having my back and you being my friend Lann but it wasn’t needed like needed this time it was just a disagreement that got a bit out of hand.
Third, I hear you Nico and as I said at the start of this post I would have come quicker if I had actually of been reading replies last night instead of just giving likes when you guys were quoting me. So I apologize.
In closing I’m sorry that I was the cause of you guys arguing last night because I didn’t and I don’t want that, I really like you both and I consider you both my friends.
I feel like people can tell what you meant with how you worded it despite it being framed by some as some sort of attack, hence why I commented on it because it just sat wrong with me. It’s all good Naughty
For the record, I thought I’d love your new look and I wasn’t wrong because it’s wonderful.
I appreciate the kind words.
I just wish people would have actually listened to what I said before it got all blown out of proportion. I was being “disagreed” with over something I never said or did.
I take blame for that like I said earlier, I was the one that said what I said yesterday and I didn’t and I don’t want anyone else to get into arguments because of me.
So again, I apologize because I think we all have times where we get heated or have someone else heated at us and so I try not to be one of those people even though at times, I’m guilty as well.
I decided black hair with blue eyes would be my go to while I’m unsubbed I was tired of those little braids and couldn’t change it too.
Thank you! I really appreciate these words. I know how you feel about the whole High Elf stuff. And I understand where that comes from and it’s not unjustified. Even though we both want different things for Void Elves, there’s a lot of other areas where our wants are the same. I don’t like arguing with anyone, and I don’t think you’re a bad person. If anything, your post here shows just how good a person you actually are.
Why’d you unsub, if I might ask? Just not happy with SL?
Shadowlands is pretty terrible with exception of the random BG here and there, weekly renown quests and resetting my mission tables I can’t say I play much either. Lol.
I actually don’t hate the expansion. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot that needs fixing, and some decisions I find questionable, but I’m still more engaged with Shadowlands at this point than I was with BfA at the same point.
I mean, I like Torghast… in small doses. I had to take a fairly long break from it since completing Twisting Corridors though. That kinda wore out my enjoyment of Torghast for a while.
Now that I am maxed with Ve’nari, I hardly touch the Maw. There’s no compelling reason for me to go there, and to be honest, I’m not unhappy about that. It’s not a zone I enjoy traversing, even with a mount. I only go there when absolutely necessary and I only do the weekly quests that I feel are respectful of my time vs. the rewards they offer which is basically just stygia so I only do the quick/easy ones. Perdition Hold weekly quests can go die in a fire.
I like the covenant stories, though I do feel that the stories get disjointed for some because you’re seeing things out of order/context in several cases. Spires for example, if you haven’t done the Kyrian covenant story, Devos just kinda pops up as the big bad of the dungeon, and in the earliest part of the xpac, we were doing Spires long before we could even finish the covenant story. So yea there’s some bad design there.
I’ve mostly been getting my alts up to snuff lately and doing mythic+ with friends. Blizzconline can’t get here soon enough, though I am disappointed that there’s going to be a 9.05 if only because it probably means 9.1 will be longer in the coming than I had hoped.
You get my props for keeping on despite it being meh in most aspects. I stopped pretty much everything almost a month ago because I got bored with it then I leveled my Void Elf Warlock and realized doing everything twice was even worse than just once so the rest of my alts are just sitting now. Lol.
I’ve mostly been keeping on to acquire anima for covenant perk unlocks and eventually transmogs. That’s my primary goal lol. The mog I want most requires rank 5 of the Night Fae conservatory so that’s gonna take a while considering how crappy anima acquisition is vs. the time spent. I really hope anima acquisition is improved in 9.1. Most of the cosmetics feel so out of reach considering the prices compared to the rate of anima.
I know right, the main thing I care about is the angel wings in Kyrian and I realized earlier today that when I hit 34 renown I can get another set but it’s 3500 anima, so I went through and added up the basic secondary set cost and it’s 36000 I was like good lord we need a boost on this big time.
