Just one of the ensembles I want costs 30,000 anima… and here I am getting 35 here… 70 there… maybe 105 to 140 once in a blue moon.
The amount of Anima is stupid small.
It also doesn’t help that old content scaling is still fubar’d in a lot of places. Something I should be able to do… isn’t doable.
I agree, I’m still mad I can’t solo Legion raids to complete the raid sets I don’t have all the pieces to.
Case and point, I would look much better in the black set of this outfit but no, I can’t get it until they fix it.
But it’s not only about the void elf players, it’s about respecting the visual identity of the Blood elf race, and it’s player base. We’ve only gotten to the point where “hair color” is the last remaining difference because every slippery slope has been availed, to the point where you can say “well, we got everything else, mind as well give us the hair now!” Not once stopping to think how it makes blood elf players feel. Instead you claim how we should be more like night elf players, who’ve used Nightborne as a prodding stick to justify cloning more blood elf themes to the void elves, probably because the nightborne have no customization, and barely infringe on their themes.
Again, no one is asking you, or telling you that you can’t ask for hair colors or what have you, but please don’t start fabricating the narrative like void elves are starved of customization, and that we’re the greedy ones for being unwilling to share the very last distinction between the blood elves and void elves. It’s disingenuous, and pretty insulting.
One of the best put together posts I’ve read.
Not to mention it’s always glossed over that BE players have already shared by way of Blizzard sharing and opening a second visual theme for VEs. So it doesn’t make sense to then put that on BE players who aren’t fond of sharing more as now being “greedy” or “silly over hair colors”. There’s also this idea that BE players who are against sharing more of which brings VEs closer to having the complete best of two themes are being ridiculous for not wanting to share hair colors and down playing it as “‘not a big deal” well if it’s not a big deal then why are people trying so hard to lobby for it.
You really encompassed my sentiment anyways and what I’ve seen others try to convey.
Please do not forget about every other race.
We still need more customization.
agree with everything. they arent melting blizzards or anyones heart. they are literally asking and denying themselves to what they come here and ask for everyday. its absolutely bizarre
also nice transmog
But not an uncommon take, sadly.
Before Void Elves it was “Don’t be selfish, just share them.”
After Void Elves it was “Ok, blizz gave us your “toy” so up yours, you’re just being childish if you don’t agree with us wanting them to be “improved”” (This is the worst take in my opinion because it downright says that VEs are not good enough with their own themes).
After Void Elves got the customizations it is “Your exclusivity doesn’t matter, why are you so entitled!?”
9 years of seeing this bs for me…
“You’re not losing anything Blood Elves still have their theme just because we get two doesn’t mean you lose anything” is the worst take for me because why should the AR on the opposing faction get two visual themes one of which copies the core race.
How about the good ol’ “Blood elves are not really Horde anyway, they belong in the Alliance better, so it’s ok to share”?
It’s the “it’s okay to share” mentality for me coupled with the “but it’s Alleria tattoos that’s our Alliance thing”.
Hopefully tattoos are added for BEs soon tbh like just open them up Blizzard lol.
That’s why although I would accept getting Night Elves and Night Elven themes to replace current Nightborne I always think what else would we get because we’d still need a second theme for Nightborne and the current one they have would be round filed because no one wants it anyway. Haha.
Also this makes me so mad, I don’t care who says it, I always yell at them. Lol.
Ah yes, because we all know Alliance has a monopoly on tattoos, specially those involving patterns that are used by a Horde alligned group, the Farstriders
I’m a big fan of the tattoos Rommath has but Farstrider tattoos are definitely something that BEs should get.
I’m unhappy with the hand core races were dealt overall, and I prefer SWTOR. I only came back for the flower crowns.
Assuming they don’t continue to chip away at the last of BE visual uniqueness I’ll pop back in I have WoW tokens now I’ll use if I do though, and I wanna try ESO as Avarie reminded me of that game and it looks like something I could play for a fantasy genre specifically I like one of the Elf options but I forget their name. (Lance informed me they are the Dunmer or Dark Elves that I said looked cool)
But yeah long story short I like swtor more and I want to see that they keep the last of BE visual uniqueness.
Ok, let’s clear some things out first. YOU or any other Blood elf Hordie NEVER consented to us getting Blood elf character models. You did not give us any mercy. We got the model because tens of thousands of requests were made by the Alliance for High elfs, and ultimately it was Blizzard who decided this. Not you. If it was up to you, we never would have had any Blood elf models. So do not try to lecture me about telling you that you are not willing to share, you never did in the first place. It was Blizzard who took the decision because they saw how popular the race you play is among both Alliance and Horde. It is the price to pay for the popularity of Blood elves to not keep them limited to just one faction.
? Where was this stated
Blizzard iirc said they thought the void idea was cool and went with it, we also have evidence they supported an elf swap of sorts with giving Horde Nightborne.
I’ve never seen them come out and say due to the tens of thousands of requests? In fact where did you get that number?
So you are not playing WoW, but you go all out of your way to whine in the forums so you can make sure the opposing faction to the one you used to play does not get any light hair colors.
Sweet merciful (old) god!
Whenever will you people be satisfied with elves?
Let me tell you a little secret about your elf customization: Nobody cares, we can’t even see it because you all look the same from 10 ft apart.
