It could have been a snap judgment on my part and read into it too much, and if that’s the case, I apologize.
I think a few of us did honestly, and as I posted earlier, I’d consider any concerns about parity perfectly fine.
I was just more familiar with the other antis posting so I know where they’re coming from and may have jumped to conclusions regarding Runeleaf, and if I did, I do apologize to them as I see some valid concerns from them.

It is a good discord filled with good people, who sometimes disagree on things, but respectfully.

I find this super hard to believe. Now if I said that, I could probably get 10 people to chime in and say I am within minutes because I know what some people think of me already. Haha.

I should not have to be someone’s personal punching bag just because I mentioned Void Elves. I especially should not be subjected to attacks over things I never said. The hostility was palpable yet it seemed more directed at “anyone who dares mention anything regarding Void Elves”, rather than me. That still doesn’t make it ok to jump down my throat over an argument I never made.
This is the Void Elves, Blood Elves, & misc high elves topic. Void Elves will inevitably be mentioned. I have no problem with differing opinions. I do have a problem with being attacked over positions I do not hold and posts I never made. The “context” of her post made no sense because I wasn’t asking for anything for Void Elves when she replied to me to begin with. And I am going to get heated when being made the target of someone’s ire over something I never said or did.

I mean that’s not what happened, someone disagreeing with you and stating their stance isn’t making you a punching bag, if you take her words verbatim then sure I can see how you might use that to say x y z about being a punching bag, but if you add tone and context to it obviously she wasn’t bullying you trying to silence you like you claimed or using you as a “punching bag” like you’re claiming now.
Take this for example you told Fenelon to argue with someone else, are we going to get hung up on “oh Nico’s telling people what to do you can’t do that” or can we apply tone and context to what you’re saying. It’s silly to get hung up on things verbatim when it isn’t necessary.

Honestly from reading many posts here I noticed there’s an tone of negativity towards and an underlying trend to hate on anything that is void elf/high elf related.
Even though this post is supposedly about all elves.
I just hope all elf players can get what they want, I myself would like to see more highborne options for night elves and some tattoos for void elves and blood elves.

It’s exactly what happened. I suggest you go back and read it again from where it began. I took issue with someone claiming that Void Elves got the equivalent of a full customization pass and that no other allied race got anything even close to what Void Elves got. That is objectively untrue, and it is the only thing I brought up until holy hell got rained down on me for it.
I did not ask for anything regarding Void Elf customization when this all began.

I asked Fenelon to argue with someone else. I even said “please”. By that point the argument had run it’s course and I was tired of repeating myself that the things I was being attacked over were things I never said and positions I never held.
Thanks for dredging it back up after we had all moved on by the way. Now I am going to ask you the same thing I asked Fenelon. Please let this particular line of discussion end, or at the very least discuss it with someone other than me.

If your habit is to ignore context and tone to frame people in a bad light and this isn’t the first time it seems pertinent to bring up.
You yourself said you and Naughty normally have great convos, why is it the second someone disagrees with you, you frame it like you’re being attacked, why if you normally get along with someone would you automatically assume disagreement means

There is. And it’s understandable to be honest. I know where it comes from and it’s reasonable for there to be some hostility, if only due to the “High Elf Fatigue” that’s built up, particularly since customizations were announced and Void Elves got the skin tones. That was a big blow to those who didn’t want Alliance to get anything remotely close to High Elves.
Now if anyone dares ask for anything Void Elf related, and especially if it isn’t strictly void-themed, the opposition will post in force. And that’s ok. That’s expected.
But I wasn’t attacked because I asked for something for Void Elves. I was attacked because I took issue with a claim that was objectively and provably untrue.

Indeed, old habits do die hard, and I really don’t like getting into it with people myself, as at the end of the day we’re all pretty much here to play World of Warcraft and try to make our experience more enjoyable via our feedback and requests.
I took a break from the forums because I was sick of fighting with people, which Unfortunately I feel like was due to lack of parity for some with nothing around the corner. That and I had other stuff I needed to sort out and get through, on top of being a very hectic time of year.
In retrospect, while I may not agree with everything they’ve said, I can understand why people were upset with the lack of parity. This being said, I don’t really want to hold anything against them as I know a few of them stated they wanted to change for the better and I’ve personally denied them the chance in past, which I’m sorry for.
There’s also no need to apologize for something you didn’t say, but in any event, I appreciate and accept your apology.

I don’t “frame it like I am being attacked” if someone disagrees with me. Me and Naughty can, and have, had civil discussions even over things we disagree upon. I do feel attacked however, when someone angrily posts at me about things I never said or did. Again… how many times do I have to say that?
If I yell at you over spilling milk that you never spilled, and I kept doing it after you specifically told me you didn’t do it, and there was video proving you didn’t do it, wouldn’t you get frustrated? Cause that’s how I felt, and how I am feeling again because you felt the need to jump to Naughtymoon’s defense over this, even though the thread moved on from that.
I’m being attacked over something I never said or did. So I’ll ask you one last time. Please drop this.

This is the part I am commenting on, Naughty was just stating her position, and upon you bringing up her word choice clarified she wasn’t trying to silence you, so with that I feel like it should be easy to add tone and context to her statement but you doubled down on being attacked, that’s what I feel is unnecessary.
We all just agree or disagree over this Elf issue, but I do not feel personally attacked every time someone pushes for their side that isn’t within my POV, I just proceed to state my pov from there.
I would think the news that you got the situation wrong would make you feel relieved as it was just a civil disagreement.
I just think it isn’t beneficial to get hung up on things verbatim, and or see insults where there are none. Nothing over Elves is personal unless its explicitly made personal which of course isn’t cool.
