Continuation of New Customisation Options for: Void Elves, Blood Elves, & misc high elves

That’s fair, but that brings up another question, in that what would be something the overall culture has embraced that you would want as a second visual theme?

This is a valid point and I’ll point out now that I don’t consider myself knowledgeable on elves in any regard lorewise.

I say what I am about felblood elves because I’ve seen people who I do consider knowledgeable on elves saying that they are a part of the Horde.

If that isn’t cannon, then disregard what I’m saying about the Sunfury as cannon and regard it as something that easily could be cannon and something I’d like to be.

I’m not fully sure on that myself. I personally want some existing themes emphasized more, farstrider tattoos, braids, maybe feather accessories for the farstrider theme. Runic tattoos, wizard beards, more elegant styles for the mage types. Maybe some light based options for pallies and priests.

I support dark rangers, though it’s not necessarily an overarching theme, and some classes using those themes could also be silly.

The Sunfury were stated as being reintigrated into Quel’thalas after the defeat of the Lich King as many of Quel’thalas military were away fighting the war or had died in the war.

No further detail was given, but while this doesn’t confirm Felbloods amongst Thalassian ranks, it does leave things open to the idea.

I agree.

I take Grabbag’s stance on dark rangers.

I’m not opposed to them being forsaken with a model toggle myself. The forsaken could use more love as well.

Don’t do that.

Its just as bad as the folk who tell me I can’t ask for Void Elf things just because of how I look. Despite me having two other Void Elves very much blue in skin tone.

Either everyone can request or no one can. You don’t get to set standards.

Certainly not while also saying this.

That is why Felbloods are my horse in this race as while I don’t oppose Undead options for Blood Elves, the theme is contested among 2(possibly 3 if San’layn become an AR.), so it would be wise to cast a wide net.

I will actually call out whatever I feel the need to, but thank you.

I considered their behavior antagonistic, I do find the mog suspicious, as again my thoughts on the matter are completely up to me and I will express them as I see fit.

I also just threw the antis a bone further up as I believe they were arguing in good faith on the topic at hand.

I just don’t approve of people running around calling people greedy and stupid, which is different from making an observation.

The context is very clearly written to express her stance and feeling on this topic. And you’re taking it like she came and broke your keyboard and the exact verbatim to get hung up on as opposed to being able to apply tone and context to see she just chose those words to state her stance.

Just to kind of go off Grabbags quote here because I feel like it applies, no one is attacking anyone simply because of opposing stances lol.

What about this was antagonistic?

I don’t think someone explaining in depth the core issue with downplaying VE customization while asking for more, is antagonistic, it probably doesn’t help the HE request any but it’s not antagonistic.

Not a reply like a reply but I haven’t seen you post in ages, so first hello and second I’m extremely happy to see you post because I’ve missed seeing your posts when I have come and gone on the forums and more recently when I’m here more. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Themes shouldn’t just be tossed onto a race just because a theme that would make more sense could overlap with other races.

Well I think some people like to infer that because the Sunfury rejoined the Horde, that must also imply that so did the Felbloods, but honestly this sort of rhetoric doesn’t make very much sense within the context, and story of who and why these individuals became Felbloods, in addition to actually never seeing any Felbloods among the Blood elves, or even in the Horde. This was likely in reference to the Blood elves who were never comfortable with Kael’thas’ leadership after joining the Burning Legion, many of who assist the players in defeating his forces in outland.

Felbloods fully embraced the Burning Legion, and Kael’thas’ pact with them, I highly doubt any of them would be willing to abandon their course at that point. Is it possible? Maybe? But is it relevant enough to merit adding it as a racial cosmetic? I really don’t think so.

Oh cool, this thread is still going. I need purple skin tones for my void elves and N’zoth eyes! More void options when?

<—Just give her true, genuinely black hair and she’ll be happy. Forget this blonde stuff >_>

I’m really only active on the discord end these days, I have been playing SWTOR, I am back for the flower crowns, but I am still checking on the Elf threads  maybe I’ll buy some tokens and stick around longer but I don’t think I’ll sub normally rn. Or you know what I’ll get tokens and save them lol, also good to see you too Naughty!!

Last post on this issue, and then I’m done with this conversation.

This was the first mention of greed, which I personally found somewhat offensive.

Did I take it out of context? Maybe and if this is true, then I’m sorry. All the same though it was meant more as an observation than to actually try to silence someone I disagree with.

That’s not the only reason I endorse Felbloods, as I feel it also fits the race and has merit thematically and lorewise. They could possibly get both and that would be perfectly fine.

Most people do support Void Elves getting white and black hair like Nightborne have because it fits the theme and it would give Void Elves more color choices.

That’s super cool, I tried out playing STWOR years ago as a Chiss Jedi Consular but I haven’t been back since then. Lol. I am still glad to see you though even if it’s because you are coming and going because it made me happy.

Edit - I don’t know why your quote didn’t copy right Lann. My bad. Haha.

They’re allowed to wear whatever they want to. They’re also allowed their opinion.

Neither of those things makes them any less valid here.

They didn’t call anyone stupid. They could be inferred to have called them greedy but thats stretching it.

Honestly I think if they give Void Elves white and black, which still fits the void theme, most high elf fans will be relatively happy.

Also honestly, I think blizzard will likely give them natural hair colors, but I have little more than my disillusionment to base that on.

I think you did, while it was perhaps going a bit overboard, the general point of that bit was that you shouldn’t be surprised theres contention from Blood Elf players who feel stolen from and just see high elf fans asking for more repeatedly whenever something is given.

Which is at least partially true. Every addition to the Alliance side of this (odd choices by Blizzard or not) have resulted in more threads, more calls for this or that.

Maybe at blizzcon we will get white and no longer have to be bald.
