According to Metzen at the BC lore panel the ‘blood’ in blood elves refers to being ‘of high elven blood’, so I really doubt it.
Irrelevant, gilneans turned into worgen and they still consider themselves gilneans/humans as per their heritage quest that makes that the most important part of them.
Any name change has the same power regardless of any other adjacent changes.
Yes, we know where the name came from but it’s till a different name.
I always thought it referred to the spattered blood of the masses who bit it to the Scourge, but this makes sense too.
Those masses of high elves, yeah.
Ah ok, I only did the story once and didn’t want to do it again so excuse my poor memory on the subject.
Yes, they renamed themselves blood elves because of the blood that was spilled that day, obviously it was high elven blood, as it was their people. Is the same thing just a roundabout way of saying it.
Oh goody, we’re going into this argument again…
Can you feel my absolute excitement through the screen of your device of choice while browsing this debacle?
Yeah Averyx… it was only a renaming…
Those are high elves that honor their fallen brethren.
Speaking of people not willing to get over things…
What the NPCs say doesn’t concern me. What annoys me is the people that think that to be plausible because they can’t let go of the past… because it could actually give Blizzard some very, very dumb (dumber) ideas.
I only did it the one time myself. I just eventually memorized which one was Dazar’alor and which one was Atal’Dazar since I kept confusing the two early in the expansion.
100% did not ever call Dazar’alor Atal’Dazar.
Ya’ll are requesting ear armor and every possible elf variation when most races have a pathetic amount of customization, even when compared to the elf races.
This is incorrect. The worgen curse and the change to void elves are not an equal comparison.
I know the reason why. But regardless of why, it happened.
Play a game, if the game gives you an objective obviously that would be what you want to do. That’s why that sentiment continues to echo around.
Definitely are. Would be absolutely hypocritical to pretend they aren’t.
Good lord that was a lot of reading to catch up with all the replies, drama and arguments from the last hour or so that I wasn’t tabbed out. Haha.
Honoring the fallen seems to have a stronger influence in the DNA than any curse or half transformation into a void creature it seems.
EDIT:
HAH! Called it!
I’m not arguing it wasn’t high elven blood, just where the blood was. I was attempting a joke.
Called what? I’m talking about worgen here. Again you never read what I write do you?
Do you know the importance of a comprehensive list of ideas?
BE customization is so lacking that list gathered all ideas hoping we get something because all of that is just ideas.
Which is funny since half of this thread is HE fans looking to steal the last of BE uniqueness while falling back on “well what do BE fans even want lol”, this list encompasses all of the ideas it isn’t asking for everything on it.
Nope, this is factually incorrect. For a few different reasons… Mostly coming down to how they were changed and how it was viewed both interally by the population changed and by the outside populartions reaction to the change.
It’s actually basic anthropology.
Him pointing out her failures was pretty awesome.
I’m going to be mad if she gets redeemed though.
Nope it’s basic hypocrisy.
