High elves are alliance actually lol. You meant to say Quel’Thalas?
Problem is, Blizz keeps writing those plots to this day to the NPCs. That’s the issue.
Is the same with the Horde and wanting to take over Ashenvale every 5 days.
I don’t get that this has to do with anything I said.
Chronicles confirmed canonically dungeons are done by one faction.
Horde did most of Vanilla ones for example but alliance did all the heavy hitters.
I mean race is pretty much a name in whatever form in warcraft. There’s hardly an in-universe explanation of what a race is. Either way Blood elves changed the name of their race to , well, blood elves. So they aren’t high elves in race.
High Elves are not Alliance because High Elves are not singularly anything. A large swatch of High Elves claims loyalty to the Alliance. Another large population renamed themselves Blood Elves and went to the Horde. Some remained in Dalaran, but not part of the SC, so they would be neutral.
As I said last night when talking about Vereesa. She cannot be the racial leader for the high elves because the high elves are no longer united that way.
well yeah but that was the raid not the dungeon.
on that topic I’d like to see more scenarios with both horde and alliance players both inside it like during the battle of the broken shore.
It blew my mind when i was in a alliance raid crossing the bridge and saw a horde raid across the river; i didn’t know blizz could even do that.
I don’t think these are on the same level at all, the main population are Blood Elves, phrasing it like this makes it sound like its more equal than it is.
I do agree with this though as like I said it has been pointed out that what remains of those that use the term High Elf, aren’t anything more or less than neutral.
Having a few rogue elements selling you food in some shop or being part of the canon fodder does not equal as them being part of the Alliance. The bulk of them are where they should be, in Quel’thalas.
You’re mixing gameplay things with lore here. I agree that they could have managed the fact that, canonically, the Alliance took Ashenvale back, I mean, they did gave Lorlathil (EDIT: Lor’danel… them elven names are confusing) back in Darkshore. But then the whole goal of balancing the areas during cata would have been tossed out of the window.
You’re calling development that lead to the inception of Forsaken dumb… because it clearly meant the land of Alliance of Lordaeron (not the current Grand Alliance, which is a completely different thing) would not be human dominated.
I know I was emphasizing what you said and what Midare said I think the stance of the official government for the population is important in this context.
The raid was Dazar’alor. The one with the Golden Priestess is Atal’Dazar, which was the dungeon I was talking about. During the Alliance war campaign you go to a special phase of that dungeon and confront Gallywix, before he escapes.
I wouldn’t describe it as large. Ten percent of high elves weren’t there for the fight against the Scourge. Of those some are neutral and with the addition of blue eyes to blood elves, some are Horde.
Alliance elves are not a ‘large’ group by any definition.
You’re right. I worded that poorly. It should have been more like
“a statistically significant (per population totals) … Alliance. While the VAST majority (per population totals)…Blood Elves. With Smaller populations…Dalaran, unaffiliate, my basement…etc.”
The only high elves remaining are the ones who use that name.
Blood elves race was name-changed to that, Blood elves. And that’s pretty universally understood in-world.
Same as Void elves renaming themselves void elves.
Wether there’s a biological distinction or not is meaningless.
Those are now blood elves, which was their choice of name. Funnily enough I bet a belf in lore would get offended that you insist in calling them high elf.
I’m talking about what blizzard makes the NPCs do and therefore what is the gameplay narrative you follow. Before the BFL the NPCs talk about taking Lordaeron back etc.
I’m saying that making the alliance plot in classic about retaking lordareon was dumb.
You clearly don’t understand what I write ever , do you? lol
