Continuation of New Customisation Options for: Void Elves, Blood Elves, & misc high elves

God he looks sad.

Look
do you want a White Knight or an Edgelord Murderbot? I’m not a miracle worker here! :stuck_out_tongue:

But Highmountain Tauren can’t differentiate themselves from brown Tauren either.

So your stances are that allied races should have less options than the ‘core’ races?

Don’t get me wrong, I see where you’re coming from.

Agreed. I find this as cringe worthy as when people suggest slapping elf ears on the Forsaken.

Both. We do what the living cannot.

This isn’t my stance. I’m for natural hair on Void Elves, especially via the Kul Tiran hair idea, but I won’t mind if we don’t get it because I’m pretty satisfied with the skin and eyes.

Yeah idk honestly  the ear customization being a QOL thing
kinda takes some of the appeal of Half Elf away but I do think it’s good they gave that to BEs and NEs and I’m sure NB and VEs would get it too.

Needs eyebrow length customization to go with it. Short ears on blood elves really emphases how huge their eyebrows are

the half elf approach to high elves, pre-dated void elves. but it was just as unpopular among many blood elves because they were concerned that they would be a visual upgrade to blood elves and thus the barbie and ken doll titles would switch to half elves.

and people who just didnt want any more elves at all, were against half elves also. and that was on both factions.

and people who were dead set on the thalassian model, period, were against half elves because they were afraid the artists would screw them up and be a disappointment.

Void Elves were probably a lot easier for Blizzard to make than Half Elves would’ve been.

Some folks also felt that half elves would be a “waste of an allied race slot” and would rather give humans pointy ear options. To each their own I say

Mhm. Void elves were quick and easy. Half elves would require some effort, which we now fully expect from newer allied races that don’t need to be rushed to meet a deadline. I’m still hopeful

its been both fun and frustrating. sometimes the frustration part dampens my enthusiasm and makes me wish for tbc to be released.

I would have preferred Half Elves if done well and done right to Void Elves, but it seems we’re well past the point of Half Elves being an allied race. Maybe down the road if Blizzard gives Alodi, Kalec, and Arator a proper Half Elf model, that might lead to something.

Half elves are still one of the few Alliance allied race ideas that make sense. It’s much easier coming up with ideas for the Horde, it’s a bit trickier for those of us on the blue side of things

Personally I feel like core races should have more options than ARs.

‘Core’ is in the name.

I agree with this.

I just mean I’m not against Void Elves getting more un-Void themes.

Edit: I cannot form a coherent thought this morning.

Definitely makes sense for the core races to recieve priority treatment. Allied races will need some touching up eventually, though
