The Blood elf name is shorter than how long Far Striders have existed as a fantasy for the Alliance.
It literally is a Blood Elf theme. Blood Elves are a core Horde race. Itās not an Alliance core exclusive theme in any way shape or form.

Its still not known 100% how this process happened it could be that Elune changed them so much they became entirely different. Either way the Chronicles is an observation POV of the titans and they have no idea what Elune did.

Even if the Titans were taken as being unreliable, itās still a more solid source than random guessing.

Silver Covenant rangers in Stormwind never left. So they been part of alliance longer.

Blood Elves are not a ācoreā to the horde since they were Alliance and the Alliance has some blood elves in their ranks so it canāt be a Core race, just like how goblins are just mercenaries to the Horde. There is the Horde Cultural Fantasy, then there is the Blood Elf magi mercenaries Fantasy that is an expansion to the horde. Its not Core at all.
The Bilgewater Cartel arenāt mercenaries. Theyāre a full-fledged part of the Horde.
Prior to that, the Goblins that aided the Horde tended to be mercenaries.

The Silver Covenant are part of Dalaran, not Stormwind. Sure some of them couldāve come from Stormwind, but thatās speculation.
Regardless, why should only one faction have claim just because itās had it longer, especially when the larger body of representation is on the other faction?

Blood elves a type of High Elf forms a new culture and joins the Alliance
Blood elves a type of high elf have a schism, more than half join the Illidari, the rest join the horde.
We are at the present time. Blood elves as mercenaries to the Alliance along with high elf allies help take down the Core Horde that was Garrosh.
The present now is High Elves are Alliance, There is some parts of blood elf culture in the alliance and horde.
Horde Core reforms into a more simplistic tribal horde. Magical races of the Horde donāt really fit it in.
Your feelings on what is more Horde donāt matter here. The Blood Elves are a Horde race.
