Then I guess we need to define what the “generic elf” theme is then. Because my character doesn’t have tentacle hair, has a human skin tone, and has blue eyes. Would a black/white/brown/blonde hair color really make a massive difference? Would a Kul Tiran hair style really make a difference?
Not a massive difference, but yes a difference. There’s nothing wrong with opposing that, and it’s not a waste of time to do so.
Is this a fat joke!?

This is why I haymaker people into aoe during mc mechanics.
I was mainly refering to the picture of examples you posted before that and how you kept talking about them not using “blood elf assest”.
The Kul Tiran assets I’d like Void Elves to get preserve some level of uniqueness between Blood Elves and Void Elves. Maybe not as much as some would like, but they are different. I suggest those because of that and to hopefully avoid Blizzard doing another copy/paste of Blood Elf assets.
But it all depends on whether or not Blizzard even cares about adding any more High Elf aesthetic options to Void Elves. They may not, which of course makes my suggestion moot. But if they do care, and do intend to do it, then I’d rather they share the Kul tiran assets than copy Blood Elf assets.
But Midare, if they have hair that’s 180,180,30 instead of 170,170,40 that means they’re totally different. R-right?
Some, yes. But it comes across as disingenuous to say they have “nothing to do with Blood Elves” just because they’re less similar.
Which is why I explained that speaking of assets it’s not a good move.
Not everyone will go through the trouble of unfolding the texture to confirm those are not blood elven ones. It’s a very nitpicky thing and in the end, results in them looking just like blood elves when they’re not, that’s the point.
I lost it at the Spaceballs gifs.
I really wish I knew how to expand on that pic of void elves. Add like brown and blonde, check out different styles from different races. /sigh
Yea its not a skill I possess. I mostly just collect the pics from people who have the know how and the software to do those things. At best I can change colors in photoshop or copy/paste a hair from one to another and maybe get it to fit… maybe.
Like this one I made of a Void Elf using one of the new Human hairstyles and a tentacle added:
I posted a bunch of hair mockups near the top of the thread:

Can I ask how you created those?
I just cut the hair from one image and pasted it onto an image of an elf using GIMP (a program similar to Photoshop).
Cries in graphic designer.
laughs in Photoshop.
I did a trial of photoshop and it was a headache honestly, but maybe I should check out GIMP.
Photoshop takes time to learn. I took a class on it.
Also Adobe handles the program very poorly.
