Yup that pretty much sums up her story
I had made others, but was never able to get into them. When I still wanted high elves I leveled a mage and hunter into the 40 range (pre level squish).
I would post on all my Void Elves, but that would take a while…

If I ever want to level a shadow priest I’ll go velf for that.

A great choice! But if you did that, you’d have two velves so your mage would be less of a… rarity.
